How It Works

  • You need either TNM Tournament Edition or TNM 7 Second Edition installed on your system. The free trial version of either is fine.
  • You then create a wrestler with whom you'd like to enter the tournament, export the wrestler and send the resulting TNM Export File.
  • Feel free to use your real name or an assumed name.
  • Real wrestler names - past and present - are banned unless that is your legal name.
  • All Wrestler Exports must be created from scratch for this contest and can't be modified versions of existing Export Files.
  • Enter the competition by sending your Export File to brawl@tnm7.com.
  • All Participants will entered into a Swiss-Rules Tournament in TNM Tournament Edition.

The Tournament will consist of two Phases.

Phase 1:
  • In the first Round, all Participants will be paired up randomly.
  • In further Rounds, Participants with similar point tallies are matched up.
  • A Win is worth two (2) Points, a Draw is worth one (1) Point.
Phase 2:
  • At the end of four or five Rounds, the four or eight (depending on the number of Participants) top-scoring Participants will move on to Phase 2, a Single-Elimination Tournament.
  • Please refer to the TNM Tournament Edition documentation for an explanation of how tie-breaking works in Swiss-Rules Tournaments.
  • The winner of the Single-Elimination Tournament final will be deemed the winner of TNM Christmas Brawl.
  • The loser of the final will be deemed the runner-up of TNM Christmas Brawl.
  • The losers of the semi-finals will be deemed consolation winners of TNM Christmas Brawl.

Timeline

  • The Sign-Up period ends on December 14, 2020 at 11:59:59pm Pacific.
  • The Results and Play-By-Play of the Opening Round will be posted to TNM7.COM on December 15, 2020.
  • All further Rounds will be posted to TNM7.COM on consecutive days, one Round per day.
  • The finals will take place on December 22, 2020.

Rules For A Level Playing Field

We will ensure that nobody will be able to gain an advantage by gaming TNM's mechanics. For that reason, the following conditions will be enforced:

It is appreciated if your export follows these guidelines but there is no need to go out of your way to do so. We will modify all export files if necessary.

  • All Matches will be contested with "Damage Normalization" activated. This means that on average, everybody's Moves will do the same damage, regardless of whether low-impact or high-impact Moves are chosen.
  • All Participants will be assigned a weight of 220lbs.
  • All Participants must assign a Finisher.
  • All Participants may assign a Secondary Finisher. Please note that not assigning one may put you at a competitive disadvantage.
  • All Participants will have assigned Managers removed.
  • All Participants will have the attributes "Foreign Object", "No-Sells", "Hard To Pin", "Hulk-Up", "Doesn't Submit", "Rarely Submits", and "Desperation Move" removed.
  • Participants may assign up to three (3) Styles to their wrestler. The order of processing is Technician, Brawler, High-Flyer, Powerhouse, Wrestler, Heel, Old Style, Martial Artist, Shooter. Selecting more than three styles will see the extra ones removed.
