Installing
JoeRockEHF | Posted on 06/25/03 at 16:51:07 Hey there guys. I just downloaded the trial version and unzipped the program. I then installed the game. Then what though? I see another zip file but when I go to unzip that it says invalid file. The only thing to run is the same thing I clicked on to run the installation. Any help? I have a Dell Windows XP laptop. Thanks to all! |
Oliver Copp | Posted on 06/25/03 at 18:04:18 By default, your TNM 7 trial version was installed to C:\TNM. If you go into the Windows Explorer and navigate to C:\TNM, there will be a file named TNM.BAT which is what you need to run. |
JoeRockEHF | Posted on 06/25/03 at 20:45:51 Ok, I don't find that file anywhere. Here's what I did. I downloaded the trial version to My Documents. I then unzipped it into the My Documents folder. That contained the DOS program for installation. I ran that and installed it to C:\tnm7. No files showed up in that folder but the following files showed up in My Documents: a zip file that is 2.9 MB but says invalid when I try to open it, tpcopy.1, tpcopy.10, tpcopy.2, tpcopy.9, and a folder named Files. In that folder are some more files and a folder called Data that has a few more files. I see nothing else to run. Hope I've been as clear as possible. Any solution? |
Oliver Copp | Posted on 06/25/03 at 21:14:58 Please click Windows' Start button on the lower left-hand side of the screen. Then click "Run". Enter the following: c:\tnm7\tnm7.bat Hit RETURN twice... it should start. |
JoeRockEHF | Posted on 06/25/03 at 21:21:20 Nope, tried it already and just tried again. Still no go. Says Windows cannot find. I deleted everything and downloaded the trial again new and same problem happened. |
Oliver Copp | Posted on 06/25/03 at 21:42:32 Could you please give me your e-mail address ? I'll send you a pre-installed copy zipped up. |
JoeRockEHF | Posted on 06/25/03 at 21:45:39 JoeRockEHF@aol.com. Thanks for all the help. |
JoeRockEHF | Posted on 06/26/03 at 02:13:55 Still having problems Oliver. I emailed ya about it. |
Oliver Copp | Posted on 06/26/03 at 11:28:19 Sorry for that... you got a "you turned back the time message". Obviously, since I installed the program for you, it noted when I exited the program. I live in the Central European Time Zone where it is at least six hours later than where you are. Hence, you'd have to wait six hours for it to work. |
JoeRockEHF | Posted on 06/26/03 at 15:10:44 Good and bad news Oliver. Good news: The file works and it hasn't crashed yet. Bad news: The first screen that pops up says my trial version time is up and I have to order to continue. Thats cool though. I've seen a friend play before and I used his also at one time and think this program is very good so I was planning on ordering anyway. Thanks for all the help! |

JoeRockEHF | Posted on 06/26/03 at 15:52:15 Guess I jumped the gun. I ordered it right after I posted my last message. Put in the registration and everything works! Thanks for all the help though. Great service is a great quality to have. Thanks again! |
Oliver Copp | Posted on 06/26/03 at 18:13:18 Sorry, you were too quick for me *g* Service is also important to me but to be honest until two to three months ago, due to time constraints I couldn't offer the kind of service I'm offering again at this point. Thanks for your order ! |
