Oliver ignores me!

lwc4lifePosted on 06/10/03 at 16:37:18

I have changed my e-mail and I KNOW I can send the codes to the new one, BUT...since Oliver keeps sending me promo messages (new versions, etc.), I still like to have it changed PERMANENTLY.

But when I send him letters, he prompty throws them away to the trash apperanetly.

So Oliver, would you please let me change my e-mail somehow?

Or if I told the codes program my new e-mail, will it change it for good (or just for the single act of sending the codes )?

Thanks.
Please reply.

The best way to change your e-mail address is to use the form for re-requesting your registration data. An automated process is always more secure than relying on my fishing out a particular e-mail out of the several hundred TNM-related messages a day and remembering to then change the e-mail address when I get home from work :-)

No problem, but will it change it PERMANENTLY or will you keep sending me updates messages to my old e-mail for eternity?

If not, this is insane.

I don't want the people who whould get this e-mail address to get my private messages!

When the database is updated periodically, the e-mail changes are made permanent.

I got the new "TNM 7 Second Edition Can Be Yours Today!" message delivered to my NEW e-mail address instead of the old one!

Can I assume my old address is lost forever from your database?

Anyway, why don't you write such a thing in the website or in the e-mail messages themselves?

I mean, something like "hey, if you want me to use another e-mail address, just ask to re-send the codes to your new address and the database will ALSO be updated!".

Think about it.

People DO change e-mail addresses all the time, you know...

Thank you very much, that is an excellent idea. I'll include a link in every e-mail from now on.

Yes, you can assume that.
