Question about importing moves

Fighter_HayabusaPosted on 03/19/03 at 17:51:23

I just finished editing every move in my database to change Max Weight Difference in an effort to make things more realistic.  Now, Red can no longer Falcon Arrow Bab Sapp!  Anyway, does anyone know if there is a listing somewhere of what moves are added when wrestlers are imported?  I think there may be some sort of import log somewhere, but I'm not sure.

Thanks!

There is no such log as far as I know. What I recommend is the following: open the export file in a text editor of your choice, e.g. Notepad.

Then look for the line "[Exported Managers]". If you scroll up, you'll see all moves that have been exported in the file and conversely will be imported into your TNM. The number above the move name is the internal move number in the exporting TNM's move database. The lower the number, the less likely it'll be a created move. You should be safe to assume that anything below 450 isn't a created move.

Thanks for the info, Oliver.

After I read there is no such log, I actually went and looked.  Right in the root TNM folder is a file called IMPORT.LOG and it actually does list all moves imported.  Maybe this is just a one-time thing, and this log won't be created every time I import wrestlers.

Anyway, I tried your method, and that works too.

Again, thanks!

... or you just may be right and I'm so far out of the loop, I don't even know my product anymore ;-)

Nah, you were right the first time.  I just did some importing and the file I found really wasn't much help.  It was easy going by your way and searching the export file by numbers above 450.

Thanks again!
