Random interference not turning off?

Tom_ImpPosted on 03/13/03 at 08:56:57

Have any of you had this problem where you uncheck the Random Interference option, run a match and still someone shows up out of nowhere to get involved?

I have ever since the beginning of TNM7 and to this day it still bugs me. I deliberately shut mine off in the beginning so all my matches are decided purely based on who's the "better wrestler" and the fact that I can't stop someone from interfering is a pain in the a$$.

I know I addressed this with Oliver way back when, but since he couldn't recreate it on his I guess it was forgotten. I'm just curious if any of you have experienced this problem as well.

Yep, I've always had that problem too. No matter what, there's still the occassional inteference. It's not so much the fact that it makes an unfair environment because I book everything anyway, but it's extremely annoying when I want a match to end at a certain time (say, about 15 minutes) and someone inteferes, causing the match to last an hour, and I have to constantly use the'C', 'R' and 'F' buttons for about ten minutes before I get the outcome I want.

If you uncheck "Force Interference," that'll at least keep matches from going on and on until the interference happens.  Of course, if you do this and book interference, the match may end before the interference you booked happens.  It's a mixed bag, this TNM.

Finally! I'm not crazy afterall.   :P
When I asked this way back when on the old TNM boards, no one responded so I felt like I was the only one experiencing the problem. Glad to know others have it as well.

Since were on the subject of interference, when I do decide to enable the Random Interference, it is so annoying when the wrestler you booked to come down waits for 30-60 minutes before even showing up at ringside. I wish there was an option to "tell" the wrestler at what minute mark to show up and what minute mark to attack so you aren't waiting forever.

You weren't forgotten, Tom. I still for the life of me can't duplicate that behaviour, not on any of the machines I have here, not on any "outside" machines I tried it on. Maybe it would help if you sent me your TNM 7 zipped up... that's basically all that I can think of at this point.
