Pinfalls in submission holds

Some GuyPosted on 07/02/10 at 18:40:42

Hello. I have just reinstalled TNM7 after a few years. I remember most of it, but one thing i can't find. How do i disable pinfalls in submission. I know there was a way to stop it altogether because of a bug, does anyone remember how? thanks

As far as I know you can edit individual submission moves to not cause a pinfall but I don't believe there's a universal setting for that. Pinfalls during submissions are part of any kind of grappling since some holds can pin an opponents shoulders to the mat. For example notice the toggles below counter 2:

  Automatic Pinfall Attempt [ ]   Submission Move [X]   Neither [ ]
May Pin Yourself [ ]   Pinfall Attempt While In Hold [ ]

No, you can add a line to tnm.cnf, i think it is IgnorePinSubmission=1.  Only thing is when i open the file with notepad, the text isn't readable, so i am not sure if i got the format right.

Open it with WordPad.

Actually, isn't that an option in TweakCirc?

In Tweakcirc, go to advanced options, and leave the Pin In Submission Move Seed field blank and it disables pinfalls in submissions (only for that particular circuit of course)

Thanks guys both options seem to work.
