Windows 2000: Error before matches
Fighter_Hayabusa | Posted on 03/07/03 at 17:13:57 I burned a copy of my TNM folder on a CD ROM and pasted it to my new Windows 2000 PC some time ago (remembered to uncheck the Read Only attribute), and it's working fine. The only problem is this: just before the match introductions, the text in the window reads: Invalid Data - ACTIONS.DEF Then the intros overwrite that text and everything runs smoothly. This happends before every match and I haven't run into any other errors or problems. Any ideas? Is this something to worry about? Thanks! FH |
psz | Posted on 03/08/03 at 03:07:09 Strangely enough, my TNM7 has ALWAYS done this. I honestly can't remember the last time I DIDN'T see that. I've never run across any problems, so I've always just assumed it always did that :-P |
xavierflair | Posted on 03/08/03 at 21:19:08 I didn't have that problem until I moved my TNM7 from Windows 98 PC to Windows XP. I have the problem so it might be something in the 2000/XP setup causing it or something else, not sure. ACTIONS.DEF I believe is your moves file isn't it? |
psz | Posted on 03/09/03 at 15:52:28 Could be. *OR* it could be because the file was moved to a new DIR. I really can't say for sure, as I've been running 2k/xp for over 2 years now and DON'T plan on reinstalling TNM ;-> Olli? Care to clarify? :-> |
Oliver Copp | Posted on 03/10/03 at 09:59:05 Actually, I've run across this one myself recently and I will definitely address the problem in some sort of an OS-specific bugfix. However, it is absolutely insignificant because it's just an internal warning that the ACTIONS.DEF form couldn't be parsed correctly. Again, I'll look into it. Thank you ! |

BlueStar | Posted on 03/12/03 at 12:55:12 Just because I haven't contributed anything over the past weeks, I've been living with this error code for a few years now but all works fine....WHATEVER (a la Liam Lynch) ;D |
