Strange Problem in my TNM7

xbigevil85Posted on 02/20/03 at 04:57:54

When I'm doing a match, often, I'd get an error where the match goes on for 10 hours, then at the end it says something like "The match could not be ended for some reason". Anyone got a clue how I could possibly fix this?  ??? ???

Then when the match is over, it says (example) "Jazz and Molly Holly battled to a draw in ::00:04"

Also, my HTML tree won't update by itself when I have another show. I have to keep rebuilding the HTML tree in order get the new shows to show up. Anyone have an idea about that as well?  ???

Something about the match is preventing it from ending.  For example, a Gimmick Match that has "ends on a 10 count" checked but "ends on Pinfalls" isn't checked :P  (you need the pinfall to get the 10 count).  Also, scheduling interference occasionally causes wierd issues where the person takes forever to come down, gets kicked out by the ref, repeat.  Or booking certain spots that for some reason are unable to happen.

Oliver can problem explain it in a little more detail, but thats the very general idea.

Was it a particular typpe of match or was it just a completely normal match with no intereference or spots booked and not a gimmick match?

As far as the HTML tree goes, you have to re-do it everytime you want to update it, no way around that, unless Oliver ever comes up with anything (not that I'm particularly desperate for him to do so myself).

There are a multitude of possibilities here, most of which are the result of booking the match in a manner that it can't end.

I'm not sure about the outside interference thing Josh mentioned (if it's the case, I never have come across this problem myself) but there is one thing I should mention: if you match up two wrestlers and one is so heavy that NONE of the other's moves can be done, it's lockup city as well. That's the reason why all the flyers ALWAYS are assigned dropkicks and the like by me because that effectively prevents lockups.

It never was designed to update automatically. Any particular reason why clicking two buttons bothers you when you want an update :-) ?

I'll try some things to see if I still get that error. I'll let you know what it does. Right now I'm working on re-vamping my circuit site.  ;)

I've also gotten this problem -- the only time I've gotten it, though, is when I've booked either for multiple interference, or for specified types of interference. Usually, I'll just restart the match in these cases.

... which is the smart thing to do actually :-)

Just hit "r" and chances are it won't happen again.
