I am assuming you are running on a windows variant...just check your recycle bin to see if you deleted something...unless you are running on 3.1, 95, or 98 then that wont work.

Have you tried running the program in DOS mode?

Dos mode?

Go to the start button, and select shutdown (as if you were turning the machine off). INSTEAD of Shutdown or Restart, choose Restart In DOS Mode.

You'll get Ye Olde C:\>_ prompt. From there, cd\ to wherever you installed TNM, and then run tnm.bat.

However, you should ALSO try running other DOS programs from inside of Win98... I ran TNM 6.2, 6.2+, and 7 (betas - newest) in Win98 with no problems for nearly three years (currently on XP Pro).

If other DOS programs are having problems, then you may have a problem with Win98 itself.

This problem seems to be with some builds of Windows 95 and Windows 98 and over.

Please right-click the "DOS Prompt" icon on your Windows desktop and click "Properties".

Then look for a checkbox along the lines of "Prevent Application From Detecting Windows" and make sure it is checked.

I have no idea why this helps but apparently it does.
