Good move combinations

CarlzillaPosted on 02/18/09 at 01:10:46

What are some good combinations of moves that can be used in TNM? I've got the super basic ones, repeating german, repeating vertical, repeating snap-suplex, backbreaker->bodyslam, dragon-screw->figure-four.

but I'm looking for some others.

repeating moves:

repeated dragon suplex, repeating tiger suplex, actually any repeating suplex is doable

repeating power bomb, repeating clothesline, repeating elbowdrop, repeating choke slam, etc.

combo moves:

single-leg takedown, stf
kick to the midsection, DDT
Thesz press, series of mounted punches

corner combo move ideas:

knifehand chop, knifehand chop, knifehand chop (hey, I tried, lol)

excellent  ;D

I'll work these into the data for the random wrestler generator.

stomp, stomp, stomp  ;D

kick to the midsection is a good setup for a lot of stuff (double underhook suplex, waistlock suplex, European uppercut, etc.)

go-behind -> German suplex

kneelift -> forarm to the back

kick to the thigh -> kick to the midsection -> kick to the head (or any combination thereof)

And the always popular ROH combo: snapmare -> football kick (kick to the back)

Fall to knees => Beg off => Thumb to the eyes/crotch shot

burying young talent at your father in law's request, getting titles and title shots because your married to the boss' daughter

I think that's more of a special move.

Triple H hits Rob Van Dam with a powerslam.
Triple H reminds his opponent that he married the boss' daughter.
Triple H goes for the pin.
Jack Doan counts: One, two, three.
The arena is exploding in a chorus of boos.

The winner is Triple H. Time of match: 0:08:53

That was awesome.

A few off the top of my head:

regular moves
  • any kinda of slam -> any kind of elbowdrop/legdrop/kneedrop/splash/moonsault variant
  • double-leg takedown -> Boston Crab / scorpion deathlock

corner moves:
  • punch to the midsection -> punch to the midsection -> uppercut/punch to the head
  • punch -> punch -> Discus punch (DDP!)

Victory Roll > some type of leg submission, it's a common spot, especially in lucha libre

so say Victory Roll > kneebar

or

Victory Roll > Half Boston
CarlzillaPosted on 02/23/09 at 20:02:01

I'm not sure how well that would work in TNM as a victory roll always leads to a pin.

I'll check and see how it works, if it works out I'll include it.

LillaThrilla's suggestions have been added.
