Name this move for me
King_Of_Old_School | Posted on 01/01/09 at 21:04:36 I want to add Chuck Taylor's Sole Food to the TNM database. However, I need a generic name for it. If you have never seen it, here's a link: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=8rw38ftfh_Y Any ideas? The best I can come up with is "foot to chin jawbreaker". |
piperfan18 | Posted on 01/02/09 at 06:05:17 Chinbreaker? |
TheImpalerTMX | Posted on 01/02/09 at 10:14:17 Perhaps something like "Jawbreaker Stomp"/"Stomping jawbreaker"? That would at least distinguish it as not being a kick. |
Rick Garrard | Posted on 01/02/09 at 15:15:59 Call it an "armbar" ;) j/k It looks like a dropout jawbreaker much like Terry Taylor used, but instead of using his head he uses a foot for the same dropping motion. |
King_Of_Old_School | Posted on 01/02/09 at 15:57:35 Yeah, it's not really a stomp, but more of a jawbreaker using the foot. I'm also going to add "Styles Clash" to the database, as I feel that's the most widely accepted name for it. Unless you prefer "belly-to-back inverted mat slam". |

THE SMILE OF JACK SWAGGER | Posted on 01/03/09 at 12:29:55 I usually would call something like that a "chin crusher onto the foot" (or jawbreaker, if you prefer), but since Chuck is really the only person who does it--and anyone else who does it in the Indys would probably adopt it as the Sole Food--I'd just go with Sole Food, like the Styles Clash (and a hundred other moves known by a non-"technical" moniker.) |

ROH, Indy, and Puro Mark69 | Posted on 01/05/09 at 02:51:06 Wrist Clutch Kick To The Face (at least that's what wikipedia calls it) LOL |
Rick Garrard | Posted on 01/06/09 at 00:56:33 isn't a wrist clutch an armbar? :) |
