TNM on Palm / Windows Mobile / PDA ?
TheWave | Posted on 06/11/08 at 04:53:41 Hey everyone, Has anyone tried to use TNM on any kind of DOS emulator for a Palm, Windows Mobile, or other handheld device? If so, how well does it work? Thanks! |
Thnikkaman | Posted on 06/11/08 at 05:25:17 Now this is a novel idea. I too want to know if this works. Its a pain in the @$$ to haul the desktop around on trips when I want to take TNM with me. ;) |
psz | Posted on 06/11/08 at 14:23:54 First question is: Is there a DosBox port to Windows Mobile or other portable OS? If so, then yes, it's possible :-> |

That's the OS I have. Not being a true tech-head, I just wasn't sure if there were any TNM-specific attributes or functions that would cause problems in an emulator. Also, I don't know what x86 is so I wasn't sure if TNM is compatible with that or not. Thanks! I don't feel full... |
psz | Posted on 06/12/08 at 01:04:26 x86 means <anynumber>86 processor: 386 486 586 (Pentium) And anything newer, that's 32bit (IE: NOT AMD 64x or Intel PD, Core, or Core 2 series) TNM is an x86 application. As far as I know, as long as the PalmOS version of DosBox has the same features as regular DosBox, you shouldn't have a problem. EDIT: Judging by the total lack of information or updates to the Palm version of DosBox, I'm not sure if it'd work or not (I have no Palm to test with). I would imagine not, though, as DosBox has been updated fairly regularly for the past few years, and that link shows no updates since... 2006? |
