The most controversial character you ever made?

mine was a Nazi named Rudolph Hitler. It was WRONG on so many levels. It was back around late 1997. The character only lasted about 3 days, then I changed his name to Rudolph Schmidt. I never actually used the Hitler character in one of my circuits. I changed it before anyone could see it. I don't know what I was thinking.  :-X

The Alex Wright character I had (or 'have' whenever I actually update my circuit) has neo-nazi overtones without actually saying as much bar the odd reference to "The Reich". Him burning the U.S. flag in the middle of the ring is probably something no real promotion would ever be able to pull off for obvious reasons.

I've also had 'gay Strike Force', 'gay Sting' and Rockabilly.

Mind you, someone needs to dig up 'Racist Johnny Ace' and 'Snitskreig' respectively in this thread.

Wasn't that basically what Alex Wright's Berlyn character was supposed to be anyway? At least originally.

Rudolph Schmidt was still a racist, but was more of a racist in the style of Col. DeBeers, than he was a Nazi. I basically made him a South African with roots in Germany.

See Sgt. Slaughter vs Hulk Hogan Wrestlemania VII...

Leading up to their big match, Slaughter did just that.

No he didn't. That's what they WANTED him to do but then they thought better of it for the reasons I hinted at, and they just had him burn a Hulk Hogan t-shirt instead.

For the record, I was tempted to leave it at "no he didn't" just to see how you'd react, but to save the angst...

I used the IPW Short Bus guys. Corky and Special Ed were mentally challenged. For some reason, some of the people where I posted the cards were up in arms over the use of retarded wrestlers. I thought the bits were funny and they actually won their matches.

I had wrestling interviewers Neil and Bob who "flamed" on one of the other members in our NWA territory. Needless to say, they took exception to it. I was hoping to provoke an "in-character" attack but that didn't materialize.

Elektra (ECW chick with big knockers but an old face) in a Fran Drescher gimmick. Ed Ferrara of WWF/WCW fame was the head of the territory and Elektra was the girlfriend who wanted to be on tv. Funny stuff.

American Wild Child as a homeless guy. He used to wrestle in California but came east when XPW did shows in Philly. The angle was that XPW left him in Philly with no money or way to get home when they folded, so he was stuck, looking for work.
