Editing heat ratings...

Hello MamushiPosted on 01/14/08 at 12:01:49

For those that edit heat ratings before starting a new circuit, do you have any specific guidelines you go buy for it or do you just guys.

Discuss.

I'd never done so before. But for my brand new AWA circuit started yesterday, I set the whole database to Heat 3 before starting.

Within a month, the crowd made it clear that they hated Curt Hennig(!) and Miguel Perez, landing them both in Who's NOT. The first wrestler to hit Who's HOT, after 10 weeks...Mike Enos.

Bobo Brazil and Jimmy Garvin are feuding over the World Title right now, with Enos and Nikita Koloff waiting in the wings.

I was thinking of starting everyone in a tiered system with the "enhancement workers" at 3, just about everyone else at 5 with a few of the old-timers/ territory favorites being slightly higher at 6 (most likely).

If you're picking up a circuit in the middle of "real life" like I'm doing with my WWF circuit, I'd definatley adjust heat ratings to make things more "realistic."

I dunno B ... I did the same thing in picking up a circuit in the middle of "real life" and did not adjust the heat ratings and I think I have a pretty realistic thing going. But don't make to much out of it because I basically just run the cards and my own storylines

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the rating can still go up or down after you edit it.
ThnikkamanPosted on 01/18/08 at 07:23:53

yeah, the ratings go up and down automatically I think, so you don't have to play with them unless you want to. I'm pretty sure this was discussed in another thread somewhere.

the heat ratings are always changing.  it's just whether you start them off all even (default) or you edit them to reflect current real life popularity/renown
