Match length

JeepGuyPosted on 01/14/08 at 17:03:27

Before starting a circuit, I've been running some test matches to see what works, what doesn't and to get familiar with all the check boxes and such.

What I am wanting to do is put together a promotion with an hour long television show, getting in 4 matches, approximately 10 minutes long.

In my testing, with the match lengths set to 6 or 7, I get many 10 minute time limit draws or really short squashes.

What does everyone else do? Longer match lengths, higher match settings? What settings do you use? What seems to work best for you?

Well the easy answer is to just book all your finishes.

Of course, if you're running an unbooked circuit or don't like booking how matches end, only picking the winner, that doesn't work.

I'd say just keep experimenting with the match length.  Also, fiddling with the time progression and hit factor settings will probably help, though you'll have to consult someone more knowledgeable in that area for help with those fields to help you fine tweak things.

Thanks for the reply.

Hit factor settings? What and where is that?

you need tweak in order to edit those parameters.  hit factor changes the variable for the amount of damage that is done.  time progression obviously makes the clock progress slower or faster.  I believe it's best to use them in combination, but I don't know for sure, I never really mess with them.
