Giant TNM Circuit on the WWW

agentkolbPosted on 10/12/07 at 01:06:02

Just wondering if I were to put a decent amount of time and patience into creating a pretty in depth and big site for my TNM circuit with at least 1 - 3 updates weekly, how often do you think you'd visit? I have been thinking about this for a long time now as I go step by step in my circuit and don't want to create it if nobody plans on looking at it.

I am already about 4 months into the circuit and I would start the website with at least the first months of cards on it and update it probably 3 cards a week until I get close to caught up to where I am at in real life water it down to 1 - 3 on avg a week uploaded.

It pretty much starts at WWE Judgement Day of this year and I take it on my own course. There is 1 fake wrestler in there that I created who down the road is meant to possibly become a big name...

Also when I do an update I would do a detailed type up of the event (not just whats generated from TNM) and say once I get three up there, start over again and do Raw, ECW, and Smackdown, and then next update start on Raw again, etc. I wouldnt archive the type ups, I would just have a link to the welcome file...

Let me know!
Thanks!
Mike

Just off hand, you'd probably get more reads if you posted the cards on the boards.  Unless it's truly epic such as masked_texan's site (http://www.geocities.com/masked_texan/titlehistory80.htm)

Even when I go on a spurt where I'll read a lot of cards, I tend to only read those on the boards and not venture off site.  If you want to do a website that's great for informational purposes and archiving, but I'd say you'll snag more fans if you cross post to the boards as well.

I agree with Mamushi. If I read other peoples circuits I do so on the forum. But it also depends on how far you are going with it. And how great of a storyteller/writer you are.

Having a link to your circuit in your forum signature would help too, assuming you continue posting here, which I hope you do.  :)

I'll read pretty much any circuit once.  If I like it, I'll keep coming back.

If you're going to be posting regularly LMK and I can create a subforum on here for you so you can post updates.

Related question for mamushi and anyone else this applies to - when you say "venture off the boards", do you mean that you just want to come to the boards for updates or do you mean if someone posts a link to a card instead of copy & pasting the entire card into a message and taking the extra time to make sure the formating is good you wont click the link to go read it?

I mean more like post cards on the boards and then have a site with the cards archived and whatever else like a complete roster, news, etc.  Though I supposed even posting a link letting us know that you have a new card up would be effective in the same way.

Plus agentkolb, if you're looking for comments and feedback you'll want to post something on the boards so we have a place to put said comments/feedback.
