How long should you hire someone
Zephyro | Posted on 09/21/07 at 21:13:57 For someone trying to start with say a small house show promotion only doing around 2 shows a month, how long should contracts be to make it realistic? I'm trying to slowly build a promotion from the ground up, so I'm only starting with around 2 shows a month. So what kind of contracts should i hand out? I'm thinking around a roster of 15 - 20. Any suggestions? |
Trance | Posted on 09/21/07 at 21:23:58 I would do a 3-month contract, with 6 months for your main stars |
Zephyro | Posted on 09/21/07 at 21:32:59 Unless I were to use a card multiplier of some sort, which I'm thinking about that would only be about 6 - 12 shows per wrestler. What I'm toying with now is 6 months (12 cards) for the lower talents so they can sort of move up in ranks. Then when their contract is up rehire the people who want to be. I would hire the main guys for 12 months (24 cards).Since they are already established names, I would want them under contract longer. Also every 6 months or so I'm thinking about bringing in 2 or 3 new talents, to keep the talents fresh. I'm just trying to figure out what the best way to setup contracts would be, maybe multipliers are the way to go? |
mamushi | Posted on 09/22/07 at 03:15:22 card multiplier per month is great because then the injuries span out properly |
Rick Garrard | Posted on 09/22/07 at 04:44:57 I agree on card multiplier. It's a very helpful tweak. Especially when you have 8 cards a week in a circuit. |
Mr. Ken Kennedy | Posted on 09/22/07 at 16:12:54 Yeah, especially when you run a lot of house shows. |
