Arab Wrestlers

mdale2kPosted on 08/02/07 at 23:46:44

I am thinking of starting all all-arab stable with Muhammed  Hussan as the leader and was needing some Arab wrestlers?

Anyone got a couple?

Thanks

Technically, some of those are Indian, not Arabian.

Granted, most American audiences wouldn't know the difference if you bashed them about the face, but to be accurate, I thought I'd point that out ;->

Guys like the Iron Sheik and Daivari aren't actually Arab neither.

I was aware of that, but then I'm not an American audience.

I'd say that for the purposes of wrestling that being Persian would be close enough as far as the Iron Sheik and Daivari go.  Closer than being Indian anyway, which isn't remotely close at all.

Don't forget Rikishi wrestled under a mask as The Sultan before he really blimped out.  That sort counts. :P

And Curry Man! (As long as you're going to include Dutt)

Usually when one thinks "curry" they think India... or Britain... but really India.

I'll never forget 911, but his choke slams were overrated.

Wrestling fans can call Iranians Arab as long as they go to Iran and announce it publicly, IMO.

Technically Muhammad Hassan is Italian American

Daivari is from the mean streets of Detroit. While he might actually have a convenience store much like he and Hassan once ventured into in his family tree in Detroit, he's actually a decent wrestler and a singer, right up there with the Iron Shiek and Nikolai Volkoff as far as WWE singing talent goes. :o

And with all these suspensions, we may be seeing a lot more of Daivari and Jillian singing and dancing.

I just love how Khozrow Vizari (Iron Shiek) hates on everyone these days, and sounds drunk in all his shoots. LOL
