Scaffolds, Ladders and Weddings; Oh My!

The_WeezlePosted on 12/24/07 at 20:06:42

Ok, I'm pretty new to all of this and have been trying to scour the forums here, but after so much reading, I decided that I should just post my question and save some time.  So, if there is an answer out there already, I'm sorry I couldn't fine it... ;D

I downloaded the Scaffold Match, Ladder Match, Wedding Match, etc, from the download section to add as plug-ins.  I figured I would just use those matches and save me the time setting them up manually (that and I wanted to see how they worked anyway).  Well, I get them installed and running just fine.

Ok, sort of fine.  I can read the match as it runs, but when I go to find the log file for it so I can edit it for an E-Mail federation I just started up, I can't find the match.  I can find the results, but no descriptions.  I ask to keep a log of it and everything so I just wonder what I'm doing wrong.

Any help on this is greatly appreciated.  It will be a little bit before I use most of these matches as well as some gimmick matches, but I just wanted to make sure I could offer those things to my players.  Thanks in advance!

Well, I don't know how to solve the 'no log' issue... however, you can manually log the match.

While TNM7's running, right-click the top of the Command Prompt and select EDIT -> MARK.

Then click-and-drag across the text you want to copy and press ENTER. Then paste into Notepad or whatever text editor (*cough*EditPad Lite*cough*) you use.

You know, I never even thought of that.  For some reason, since I've been using XP and Vista, I have just gone blank about the good old fashioned DOS stuff and the actual interface that Windows still sort of has with it.  Thanks!

Also, I was looking into that cough of yours, didn't sound too bad... ;)  Seems to have quite some options to it though.  I think it is safe to say, I might have to get me that cough.

Thanks again for the feedback.  I'll just do that since the records and titles still get logged someway to keep things flowing.

From what I understand: most plugin matches don't generate logfiles anyway.
