AmericancyoPosted on 12/26/07 at 05:56:18

Ok i looked over the other threads and I still need help.
I downloaded TNM7 for Vista and installed it.  But when I went to run it I dont seem to have a TNM7.BAT file to run.

I have also downloaded DosBox maybe I did something wrong could someone help me.

Where should I download DosBox?  Mayb I put it in the wrong place.

Are your running Vista 32 or 64? If you're running Vista 32, TNM should just run normally.

For DosBox, you'll need to follow the instructions on the DosBox site for setting it up on your machine.

How do I figure out if its 32 or 64, I am gonna assume it's 64.

I have Dosbox up and running on my computer but it's not making any difference with TNM7

Uh... You need to know what type of Windows you're running and what type of CPU you have (32 bit or 64... This is not something you want to assume for various reasons ;->)

To use TNM in DosBox you have to install TNM inside of DosBox (into one of your mounted folders/drives) just like you would in Dos itself.

If you have 32-bit Vista, then you have to install TNM the same as any other program.

Not to nitpick, but the file is TNM.bat ... there's no 7 in there. ;)

Also, it might only be showing up as "TNM" as I think Windows automatically hides file tpes.

On my computer (Windows XP) it shows up like this with the Folder View set to Tiles (right click in a clear space in the folder -> View -> Tiles):

TNM
MS-DOS Batch File
1 KB

True, by default Windows "Hides Known File Extensions".

However, inside of DosBox (if it's setup properlly), you should be able to just cd\<wherever TNM is installed> and then type tnm
