Financial System (updated version)

TrancePosted on 03/07/07 at 06:49:32

I realize that my financial system may be crude, un-polished, and un-realistic, but I thought it would be fun to use.

Please feel free to comment, tweak, and critique

For what seemed like the longest time, I have always wanted to add a financial system to my federation, to give it some style, flavor and color. And while there were a few plug-ins that have been produced, I felt they were not very good (no offense to the producers of said plug-ins), so I have opted to create my own financial system. I do encourage each of you to provide feedback, and where I may need to tweak this system. And for the record I am using the "Arena Plugin" to determine attendance, TV ratings ect

A. Determine the starting funds (This can be done any way you choose... roll dice, use a pre-determined figure, ect)

B. Contract the wrestlers and determine their wages

1. Low-Carder (0-60 Push) = $1,000 Per Card.... Example: Brooklyn Brawler
2. Mid-Carder (61-75 Push) = $3,000 Per Card..... Example: Billy Kidman
3. Upper-Carder (76-86 Push) = $5,000 Per Card..... Example: Matt Stryker, Test
4. Main-Eventer (87-95 Push) = $10,000 Per Card..... Example: Shawn Michaels, Tazz
5. Legend (96+ Push) = $12,500 Per Card..... Example: Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, The Rock

C. Types of Arenas and Rental Costs

1. Local Bingo Hall (Max Capacity 1,000) - $1,500 Per Card
2. High School Arena (Max Capacity 1,500) - $3,000 Per Card

We are to assume the cost includes rental of the facility, and setup. But does not take into consideration payment for the wrestlers. We are to assume that the cost of TV coverage includes camera-person, equipment rental fees, any related technical supports, and TV time

D. Ticket Sales:

For the sake of simplicity, we are going to assume that every single seat in the arena, is the same price, and seating is on a first-come basis.

Other Sales:

What wrestling match would be complete without food, drink, programs and merchendise? This section covers that very thing. Please note, this is optional:

Local Bingo Hall and High-School Arena: Usually a small concession stand and programs (usually just a few pieces of paper, detailing the matches). Cost $250 to set up (Cost of supplies and staff). Roll 1d6.. example 4= $400 in sales.

Local Civic Center/Local Arena/Medium-Sized Arena: Several small consession stands, programs, T-shirts, ect. $1,000 set uo cost. Roll 3d6... example 12 = 1,200 in sales

Large-Arena/Mega-Arena: Several Full-service consession stands, programs, T-shirts, Action Figures, Caps, and more. $2,000 set up cost. Roll 6d6... example 36 = $3,600 in sales

F. Travel Expenses: Each wrestlers recieves a monthly travel allowance, regardless if they wrestle or not. Wrestlers who are injured for less than 2 weeks, but not more than 3, get 1/2 their monthly travel allotment. Wrestlers who are injured for 3 months or more, recieve no travel allotment for that month

1. Low-carder = $1,000 per month
2. Mid-carder = $2,500 per month
3. Upper-carder = $3,500 per month

Since Indy Feds usually have a fixed location, they do not provide travel accommodations, or arrangements. Regional Indy feds who do regular cards outside of their home-base, provide $200 per wrestler for bus fare (as most Indy stars travel via ground transportation).

If you wish to release a wrestler who is still under contract, you must pay them for the month, plus an additional $1,000 "early release fee"
