my tnm7 is not fully functional

mikalonPosted on 11/14/07 at 18:20:46

just downloaded the trial version of TNM7.  I was an old user back in the DOS days. I recently decided to upload another version of the software.  I set up my fed, I downloaded and picked my wrestlers, but when I click on the link to create a new card the windows close and I have to start tnm7 again. any idea what is going on?

Have I misread the information, do I not get a fully functional version of TNM7 or just one that lets me pick wrestlers make titles but not create cards or make any matches?

this is a helluva new version of the software, or there is a glitch in the software somewhere that has a patch to fix such problems. Someone help me here because I'd really like to play around a little and perhaps register this software

If the window closes then the program has crashed for some reason.

Open a cmd window (Run... -> cmd), use the 'cd' command to navigate to the tnm folder, and launch tnm from there. Then when it crashes, instead of closing the window, it will show you an error code.

I did as you asked and ran the tnm program inside the command line, however, when I went to create a card this time it either freezes up (blue screen only, no text) or the C:\ prompt keeps moving up every time I press return, in other words, nothing happens, no error message...any idea wth is wrong?

My best guess would be a corrupted or incomplete download.  I'd say try to download it again, preferably using something like Firefox or wget which tells you how much of the download you've gotten and resumes the download if the connection dies.

Did you try running tnmdiag?

It could be just a problem within the circuit.

it sounds like the wrestler import files may not be in the right place.
