Logfile Stripper

SykoholicPosted on 08/01/06 at 14:32:50

For those who are interested....

I got a response from Oliver who said it was okay for me to share the file.  So if anybody wants a copy of the logfile stripper utility, just shoot me a PM with your e-mail address and I'll send it to you.

Oliver also said he was going to make it available for download on the website again so you can go that route as well.

This could be interesting.

What exactly does the utility do? And in what situation would I need to use it?

Just upload the sucker to rapidshare or megaupload (or both).  Save yourself some time.

If you've ever looked at a circuit's logfiles, they're kind of messy and have alot of unnecessary stuff in them.  What the Logfile Stripper does is cleans up your logfiles then seperates and saves each match as a seperate txt file (in a LOGFILES folder inside your circuit's directory) which you can then open in Wordpad or Word or whatever you prefer and then edit/modify to your heart's content.  Very useful if you use logfiles for match writing.

I used to heavily edit the logfiles, putting the play-by-play into paragraph form, add commentary, spots, interference, interviews, and whatnot then cut/paste all of it to my HTML editor and voila..... my card was now a webpage.

In case you're wondering, the utility was made by Oliver and for quite a while was available for download from the TNM site.  For one reason or another, it's not currently available.  I have a copy of it and have acquired Oliver's permission to share it.

So... if you're interested, just send me a PM that includes your email addy and I'll send it to you along with instructions for it's use.
