What's happening in YOUR circuit?

rey619Posted on 03/15/06 at 15:26:48

While the number of circuits posted on the boards has dwindled, I'm sure many keep their own circuits at home. Why not post some of the action here? I'll start..

My IWA:NE circuit (using Critic's RoH rules for the first 30 shows or so) will soon hold its Second Anniversary show, where a tournament for the Hardcore Title will be held.

Samoa Joe, Jay Lethal and Homicide has formed the School of Hard Knox (I know I stole the name from Vertigo.. I think... sorry :( ) , and they are currently feuding with the babyface trio of AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels and Chris Jericho. They will meet in a War Games match in two months time, and will find two wrestlers each to put on their team. The School will probably choose Elix Skipper & Low Ki, while the babyfaces picks Mark Briscoe and Doug Williams.

The main storyline, however, revolves around the World Heavyweight Champion Teddy Hart. After winning the title, he has alienated himself from everyone on the roster by crapping on his Hart-legacy, Bret and Owen in particular. Some months ago, a Blue Blazer started appearing in IWA, showing himself in Teddy's matches and coming to blows at a few occasions. Once, Chris Jericho had to run in to save the Blazer from being unmasked. Teddy Hart is furious because he doesn't know who is behind the mask, and has demanded President DeMei to bar him from the shows.

Now, at the Second Anniversary Show, Hart is scheduled to face AJ Styles for the title, but in a twist, President DeMei will have him defend the title in a four corner match... against 3 Blue Blazers (in reality Styles, Daniels and Low Ki). This will probably be the end of Teddy Hart's reign, but which Blazer will come on top?

The nice twist is that the one I had originally intended to be the Blue Blazer (Harry Smith), never renewed his contract.. forcing me to go in this direction... so who the Blazer was will never be revealed! Probably an unsatisfactory explanation to the fans, but if I manage to get Smith back at some point, the suspense will be even bigger.

I haven't updated mine in aaaaaaaages, and everytime I go to, I forget what I was doing and give up. At some point I'll probably just make it up and carry on from there. Several other circuits I've got to sit down and catch up on too, having been off the boards for a while (yet again).
alxPosted on 03/15/06 at 19:14:38

I've got an exciting (to me, at least) circuit to post, with over 100 cards simmed. I just need to clean things up a bit, add some text to the early cards where I didn't document angles much / at all... heck, even one sentence can add greatly to continuity.

I also aim to create a "Power 25"-style rankings system to put at the bottom of each card.

It should be up within the next couple weeks, if I can stop running new cards long enough to clean up the old ones!  :D

What do y'all recommend as far as posting circuit results? I have my own website, I could toss the link up here. I'm not too sure how I'd go about dumping 100+ pages of html into this yabb bulletin board, nor even if such an action would be welcomed. Guess I need to take another look at the Circuits section and see what's going on there...
HugeRockStar760Posted on 03/15/06 at 19:28:33

tnmfeds.com is a new, but interesting site to post circuit results. It's still gaining members, but hopefully in time it will be a good place to post cards and have discussion about them.

And congrats on having such a long term circuit. I had one of those kind of circuits that had quite a few cards, but naturally, TNM broke so that circuit was done. I just find its hard to run a long standing circuit...I guess the key is getting past the first few weeks.

I also get aggrivated by the fact TNM doesnt have word wrap so I spend more time editing than anything and that is boring and tedious.
Rick GarrardPosted on 03/16/06 at 03:28:43

indeed congrats on the long running circuit.  I can say that NWA-Squared Circle is still alive and kicking... just that it's now busy season at work.  So once we get into the not so busy season in a couple of weeks,  should have some updates for it once again.
SeanH529Posted on 03/16/06 at 14:01:36

alright ...my USWA circuit has 156 cards and if anyone remembers Brians WWF Circuit from back in the day, My USWA was linked with his, of course TNM crashed and I have NO record of any of those shows. Which had probably another 100 cards.

My current feuds...

AJ Styles VS AMW ..basically AMW were tag champs. Harris got injured and we stripped the titles from them until Harris would return. AJ styles was the X Division champion, and he had a small injury, James storm protested that if they were stripped of the tag belts AJ should be stripped of the X title, which eventually happened, and AJ blamed Storm for him being stripped of the title, now Harris is back and Jerry Lynn is being added to the mix...

Raven just lost the heavweight title to New Jack, he blames his "lackey" CM Punk, Punk and Raven will start brawls, and eventually punk will win out this feud, as I'm trying to elevate him to the top, and put lower on the card.

Chris Daniels made his debut beating the undefeated global champion Konnan. Frank Morell the ref saw Konnans foot on the rope, and counted the 3 anyway.

Samoa Joe is the number one contender to the heavyweight title, defeated Tazz who has been trying to win the title since the beginning, and Jun Akiyama who held the title for 1/2 a  year with 13 defenses (unbooked), and has been on a major losing streak.

Sandman canned Low Ki's valet/girlfriend Trinity she was out of action for 2 1/2 months. Low Ki has been trying to get revenge.

New Europe vs The MexiCANS ..2 big stables fighting to see who is number one, eventually this will lead to the end of one of them.
UnrightPosted on 03/16/06 at 21:48:44

The Unverse is chugging along slowly due to schoolwork.

The Raw brand of the WWE just held it's Royal Rumble PPV.  (Raw and Smackdown are treated as two different feds, no inter-promotional PPVs) Val Venis won the newly re-introduced European Title, T-N-T (Cade & Murdoch) won the vacant World Tag Team Titles. Flair beat Dupree to retain the I-C title. The heel Kane beat the face Big Show after their tag team broke up. Kurt Angle won the Rumble, but Viscera of all people was the ironman (75 min!). Chris Masters won the WWE Title from John Cena in a move that I'm sure would piss off a lot of people. In my defense, it's all unbooked.
PulsarPosted on 03/17/06 at 03:16:21

I don't do angles or anything for my one tnm, but I have 4 Circuits sharing the same talent, Raw, Smackdown, NWA-TNA, and CeWF (My own fed). Since I don't do any angles, thus no write-ups, everythings based on a win-loss record, and I'm about 75 cards in each circuit now.

The TNM Monster of the Universe? Dusty Rhodes, who been Heavyweight champ since the beginning and has a staggering 60-9-2 Singles Record.
Rick GarrardPosted on 03/17/06 at 04:14:49

that's probably because you have a "broken" version of Dusty Rhodes.  He's way less dominant in my NWA since I "fixed" him.

I could use that export. I swear, the export I have, all Dusty does is the Bionic Elbow. Luckily, I book the matches I dont want Dusty to win otherwise he'd be unstoppable!
Rick GarrardPosted on 03/17/06 at 04:56:37

I know... that's why I sat down and took about a week to edit the entire database of guys that I use in NWA-SC.  And it really has helped.

I think I may have a broken export of Eddie Guerrero. All his attributes are in the 90s, his finisher (frog splash) is correct, and he even has the bodyslam to springboard somersault splash combo. But his singles record is something like 14-32-1. He's had better luck in the tag team division.
Rick GarrardPosted on 03/18/06 at 01:00:03

he's probably okay, as it's more likely other exports are screwed up.

I dunno, I run a big circuit that usually has 50-60 guys hired at any given moment. So, he's faced a lot of variety and just keeps losing. Then again, I have found some positively awful exports in my database. I clean them up a few at a time, as best I can.
dabirdmanPosted on 04/21/06 at 06:39:15

The AWF started with a big suprise (even to me) as Shelton Benjimin won the AWF Worl Title after survivng a 5 man Battle Royal and a 4 man elimination match featuring The Undertaker, The Rock, Edge, and Batista.

The Following week The Unholy Alliance (Big Show/Undertaker) Defeted (The Best Damn Tag Team Period (Jericho/Hass) For the World Tag titles. Batista not happy with last weeks results challenged Benjimin to a title match next week in Boston. Before then the two met in a tag match later that night. Batista picked Flair for his partner and Shelton picked the Rock, yet the Rock no showed and John Cena came down. Flair got Benjimin to submot to an adominal streatch.

In Boston Shelton was attacked back stage by Ric Flair and Triple H moments before his match with Batista and was rushed to a local hospital. later that night it was announced that due to his injuries Benjimin would not be able to defend his title. While Batista was complaining, Shelton came in from behind and started to attack Batista. Batista and Flair were to much for Benjimin and even with a late charge from the Rock Batista won the match and became the new AWF Champ.

In Toronto it was announce Batista would face the Rock for the title. Banjimin called out the Rock questioning his motives on why he was a no show for the tag match a no show when he got attacked and who he now has a title match tonight for the title. The Rock came out and stated he was not Sheltons baby sitter. Later that night Batista and Rock met for the title but Shelton Benjimin came down and attacked both the Rock and Batista with a chair injuring Batista and Pissing off the Rock,

Should be fun to see how this runs out

AWF is a non booked circuit
ggazooPosted on 05/15/06 at 17:07:08

I'm running an unbooked WWF circuit, much like what Oliver did with his - one card a month with minimal write-ups. I'm in 1985 right now, in hopes of catching up to today. Wrestlers can only debut after the year that they've started their career in real life.

Hulk Hogan of all people is the WWF Champion, just coming of a feud with Bob Backlund, who was the first to win the title.

Hogan and Backlund met in the first round of the WWF Title tournament at WrestleMania (the first card) and Hogan won. But, Hogan no-showed the semifinals, so I booked Backlund as his replacment. Backlund defeated Dusty Rhodes, and when Ric Flair and Harley Race went to a double countout, Backlund won the title by only winning once (and losing once). And since Hogan no-showed, we find out that Backlund was the one who took him out in the locker room. So Backlund, as the heel, stole the title. The Hogan-Backlund feud climaxed in a steel cage at SummerSlam, with Hogan retaining the title (Backlund lost it to Hogan in his first defense).

Hogan and Backlund have just joined forces, however (à la The Mega-Powers), as they head into a feud with The Four Horsmen, consisting of Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard, Ric Flair... and Andre the Giant. A frustrated Andre turned heel after being unable to defeat Dusty Rhodes at WrestleMania in the first round of the WWF Title tournament. He's been unstoppable ever since. The Horsemen are managed by Bobby Heenan.

Flair himself is embroiled in a bitter feud with "Superfly" Jimmy Sunka, after Snuka took him out for 3 months with a Superfly splash from the top rope to the outside (that's wasn't written by me, that was all TNM).

Anderson and Blanchard are tag team champions after ending The Fabulous Rougeaus near 4-month reign.

Jerry Lawler and Paul Orndorff have been going at it for bragging rights over The Piledriver. Orndorrf has defeated Lawler every time they have met (kind of like Dreamer and Raven back in the day), and he's done it each time with The Piledriver.

Orndorff was able to beat Tito Santana for the Intercontinental Title during all of this. In the rematch, Lawler was the special referee and practically handed the belt to Santana after he ignored the fact that Ornodrff clearly had his feet on the ropes. Because of this, Lawler pretty much weasled his way into a triple-threat match for the IC Title at SummerSlam, featuring himself, Santana, and Ornodrff, where "Mr. Wonderful" regained the belt.

Plus, Roddy Piper and Terry Funk are involved in a wild hardcore feud.

Stan Hansen made an impressive debut as did Barry Windham. Look for big things from them.

Right now I'm in October of '85, and things are running along pretty well.

ZedjaPosted on 05/15/06 at 17:16:16

Absolutely nothing... But I'm getting sick and tired of that so I'm going to start it up again.
HugeRockStar760Posted on 05/16/06 at 06:45:16

If you want to know what is going on in my circuit, just read the cards in my forum, WWE Smackdown!. I'm too lazy to summarize. :-)
