Styles Clash
Mbowesutah | Posted on 11/07/05 at 06:45:39 AJ styles i was looking into had as his two finishers Styles Clash. No brainer. BUT it says similar to a piledriver Nah there has to be something that is more similar to a styles clash then a piledriver right? and spiral tap.. I know he uses it. BUt is there a better secondary move then that for him any help or suggestions Mike |
americamamushi | Posted on 11/07/05 at 10:29:54 I'd say piledriver is the best for "similar to" and if you are going on what he really does, then right now spiral tap is the best choice for secondary. Of course, this is TNM, so make it whatever the hell you want. ;) For some help you can look at his OWW profile. http://www.obsessedwithwrestling.com/profiles/a/a-j-styles.html |
Fighter_Hayabusa | Posted on 11/08/05 at 18:01:36 It's better to be more generic with "similar to" than specific. TNM works counter better that way. In theory, making your "similar to" more general allows regular moves AND finishers to be countered with finishers, which is cool. For example: AJ Styles' Styles Clash is "similar to" a piledriver Hardcore Holly's "Alabama Slam" is "similar to" a back body drop (Holly starts the move with his head between his opponent's legs, after all). In the Moves database, "back body drop" should be listed in the counters to a "piledriver." Styles wrestles Holly and goes for the Styles Clash, but Holly counters with the Alabama Slam. Cool, huh? Or, in your X Division match, Chris Sabin goes for a back body drop and, if piledriver is set as a back body drop counter, AJ will counter the back body drop attempt with a Styles Clash. So, try to make your "similar to" general. It's more fun. FH |
