Superstar Jimi C's EXTREME Ruleset

SuperstarJimiCPosted on 06/22/05 at 23:57:51

Hey TNM7ers, I realized last night that if I can't be creative with my wrestling cards, then i'll be creative in another way with a ruleset for TNM7. Some people have rulesets for old-school wrestling, some have them for TNA, some for ROH, Now someone is coming out with a set for Dual Brands. I am going to be creating a ruleset based on ECW-CZW-XPW type of wrestling. I'm creating a ruleset entitled "Superstar Jimi C's EXTREME Ruleset".
I'm new at the ruleset creating so i'm asking you, the fans for suggestions for my first month. This is not F'N annoying. I'm just asking for suggestions on what rules should be in place for my first month's worth of cards. Let me know & I'll collect those suggestions tomorrow night. Maybe tonight, depending if i'm online later tonight or depending on how many responses I get on this. I should have them ready by either Saturday afternoon or Monday afternoon. So let me know about the rulesets.
Shaun SindelmanPosted on 06/23/05 at 00:11:53

titles should be decided in a King of Deathmatch tournament where each round has a different stipulation and the final match combines all those stips into 1.
SuperstarJimiCPosted on 06/23/05 at 00:17:59

That's a good one Shaun. I just popped back in & saw I had a suggestion. If you want to, that would a good idea for a mega card for once a year thing. KING OF THE DEATH MATCH TOURNAMENT. I like the sound of that. Any more suggestions?
Shaun SindelmanPosted on 06/23/05 at 01:51:53

obviously all wrestlers need to be hardcore/extreme stylists (no use having a circuit with guys like Randy Orton doing exploding thumbtack matches)
91Posted on 06/23/05 at 02:16:02

In fairness, Randy Orton did that fantastic hardcore match with Mick Foley where he did a bare backed thumbtack shot (something not even Foley has done to my knowledge).
Snabbit888Posted on 06/23/05 at 02:26:36

The coolest part of this is how Jimi told us this wasn't annoying. :)

And yes, Orton's hardcore match was amazingly good.
americamamushiPosted on 06/23/05 at 03:16:22

I think the only reason that Foley hasn't done a bareback bump on tacks is because he's never wrestled without a shirt on.

And bumping on C4 trumps a bareback bump on tacks, which I imagine isn't too terribly much different than with a t-shirt on.

But yet, Orton's hardcore match with mic was good.  And a lot more than I had expected from him going into it.

Well yes, I had considered that, but my point wouldn't be as good if I made it a point to highlight this. Besides, I think Foley knows leaving his shirt on makes the world a better place for us all.

Sorry ;D
rey619Posted on 06/23/05 at 07:06:03

All matches should be no dq and countout.. maybe FCA as well.. this is possible with tweak circ.
americamamushiPosted on 06/24/05 at 00:15:57

If they're your rules, you should be the one doing them.  It's one thing if you stop writing them and someone wants to pick up where you left off, but you'll get more respect from reggies if you do the work yourself. :)

And we better see some result eventually too, because if this is all hype i'm sure you'll never hear the end of it :D
SuperstarJimiCPosted on 06/24/05 at 00:26:05

You will, Like I said, either Saturday afternoon or Monday night. Count on Monday night. It will take a couple of days to get the first month's down. I have the pre-fed rules set already, but I don't my notes I written down with me today. No, Americamamushi, it's not all hype this time. Keep giving me suggestions, I like them. We got the Mick Foley-Randy Orton one down. Any more suggestions? I know you guys have alot of them. Never mind, starting off, i'll do it myself!

I agree 91.
TerryFunkaPosted on 07/03/05 at 04:57:20

Isn't it a little past sunday or monday?
Rick GarrardPosted on 07/13/05 at 02:02:22

Terry... it's not just a "little past" it's a LOT past Monday or Tuesday as promised.

Looks like the over-the-top hype machine that we call JimiC has once again delivered about as well as an overhyped and overshilled WCW Nitro main event match-up.

I was wondering what Schiavone was doing nowadays... and now it's obvious... he's posting under the name of JimiC.

Those are some good titles.

I've never been one to join in the piss taking, but I hope he doesn't wonder why he gets it ripped out of him constantly.
americamamushiPosted on 07/13/05 at 19:43:42

The worst part is that he's not even around to defend that he's working on it, but he hit some snags.  I'm hoping that he comes back with a reason why he hasn't been around, like his computer died... or... he's been in space or something. :)

I mean, my dual brand rules aren't exactly flying out the door, but at least I'm around to defend that I'm still working on them and that the project is still active (though if there was a race between my ruleset and a turtle... I'd put my money on the turtle right now ;) )

Hey!  My ruleset isn't being released quite that slowly!  ;D

TerryFunkaPosted on 07/16/05 at 05:13:54

So.. its been about a month since the ruleset was promised how are we going to commemorate the 1 month anniversary of the latest Jimi C flop?
Critic of the DawnPosted on 07/16/05 at 05:34:15

Now now.  Be nice.  Just because JimiC has a touch of Attention Defecit Disorder is no reason to tease him.

The proper reaction is to nod, smile, and then roll your eyes when you think he isn't looking.  Because while his projects may always occasionally spontaneously fail to happen after at least a week of nonstop hype and solicitation of advice, he's not actually hurting anyone with his unreliability.  And the TNM community isn't really that large.  So, while it might be fun to point fingers and laugh, you could end up driving the poor guy away from TNM and into playing some other wrestling sim!

Besides.  It's not like he specifically said that this one wasn't going to be all hype or actually provided a tentative date which he then spontaneously vanished before rather than admitting he didn't have anything!

I mean, give the guy a break!  ;D ;D ;D

...

Seriously though.  It is kinda funny with all due respect.

TerryFunkaPosted on 07/16/05 at 06:03:21

it was just a simple question, i mean we need to celebrate the 1 month anniversary of the flop some how.

I've got dough for sugar cookies in the fridge.  ;D
Rick GarrardPosted on 07/16/05 at 07:57:26

as another favorite poster used to have in his sig...

"I jus openda fridge"
TerryFunkaPosted on 07/16/05 at 19:38:26

Wait I have a theory.Maybe it was Jimi C's ruleset that Shockmaster "tripped" over
americamamushiPosted on 07/16/05 at 20:01:32

I wanna give the guy the benefit of the doubt on this one for some reason.  I don't know why.  But it's kinda hard to after his past hypings.
TerryFunkaPosted on 07/16/05 at 20:58:58

has he even made a single post since 3 weeks ago he said he was going to post the ruleset
91Posted on 07/16/05 at 21:02:44

A quick check shows July 6th as his last post.
TerryFunkaPosted on 07/22/05 at 03:06:07

Friday marks the 1 month anniversary of the announcement of the ruleset announcement.
colmatteusPosted on 07/22/05 at 16:45:49

Alright!  Celebration times c'mon  ;D!

I love sugar cookies! Plus I swiped Anubis' pizza, so let's partay!
TerryFunkaPosted on 08/07/05 at 23:08:37

we get closer to the 2 month anniversary
Snabbit888Posted on 08/07/05 at 23:12:23

There is a glimmer of hope though.  The other day when I was on the boards, I saw that Mr. JimiC was online.  And all I could think was...

Man, those are some good titles!
bhkPosted on 08/08/05 at 18:14:07

hey, if Bret Hart and Vince McMahon can make ammends, there's still hope for his ruleset  ;)
CarlzillaPosted on 08/09/05 at 02:32:48

Jimi C's EXTREME Ruleset (as interperted by Carlzilla)

Set-up: First things first...you need to shill the crap out of your ruleset fed, I mean like every day in every new post.  The shill should look something like this:

[in response to a user circuit post]
That's an EXTREME fed you have there...just wait till I open OHSLXW (that's Over Hyped Super Late Extreme Wrestling for those of you who aren't in the know) It's gonna be super late and way way extreme! But before I open it I need some awesome user suggestions for every aspect of my fed...tell me what to do...please I need to be told what to do...

Then you take the roster that was hand selected by everyone else...of course you throw in some guys that you like as well. It doesn't really matter how long they are signed for...since you're going to release them all anyway.

Then to get your first 10,000 years of cards you need troy perry's match maker plugin...use that...but to make it SUPER EXTREME over use some awesome hardcore stipulations. I mean who could get bored reading barbed wire bath tub pasta sauce electrofied piano matches?

After that you proceed to have every wrestler no-show your cards and then release them, but you've gotta do it EXTREME style! Well that's about all for my ruleset...

Owch... I think I popped a blood vessel in my eye from laughing so hard.
americamamushiPosted on 08/09/05 at 08:09:28

lmao.  Carlzilla, you are the living end.

One thing you forgot.  You have to put "Let us know" at the end of every card/post.

I feel bad ragging on the guy, i still want to give him the benefit of the doubt, but he just keeps asking for it. :)

If Jimi comes back and posts an actual ruleset without having to get imput from everyone and their brother I'll take back everything I ever said about him and never give him a hard time again. (Except for "Man, those are some good titles" since thanks to Snabbit is has become quite the little inside joke for TNMers) ;D
CarlzillaPosted on 08/09/05 at 10:16:38

I actually don't mind Jimi C at all...he's just really exicted about TNM. I didn't mean for the above joke (at his expense unfortunatly) to be anything but good natured humor. While I feel bad for ragging on him...I feel better knowing that at least my take on his ruleset was pretty amusing...
TerryFunkaPosted on 08/12/05 at 20:46:54

maybe his ruleset is too extreme for the internet
TerryFunkaPosted on 08/19/05 at 20:01:50

in 3 days it will be 2 months
HugeRockStar760Posted on 08/19/05 at 21:23:12

I think we give JimiC WAAAAY too much attention. Even when he posted circuits, people would reply more to his cards than others. And those cards were usually result only and made absolutely no sense. Even though, the replies usually were criticisms, I think there were more deserving people.

I kind of wish there was a way that a person could see the users that are viewing their cards on here. I know there's a view column, but seeing the user names would at least know who is following their circuits in the abscence of comments.
