Wrestling in 1997

I was thinking about doing a set of circuits set in 1997 around the start of the Monday Night Wars involving WWF, WCW & ECW.  I have two places that I would like input on this:

1) Should I make three seperate circuits or use the Weight Class Manager?  I would like to have some inter-promotional incidents, so how would this be done easiest.

2) Should I use current exports or is there somewhere I can find exports that would be more accurate for the time period.

I appreciate any feedback.

Thanks,
Phil

Hmmm... well, one advantage of using the WCW is the heat ratings.  If you have three seperate circuits then for instance Tommy Dreamer's heat rating would only be (lets say) 8 in ECW, but if you had him work in a different circuit for something interpromotional, it'd be the default 5. That make sense?  You'd just only be able to see the seperate rosters in WCW and not TNM itself.  You might also want mess with the card multiplier.  Because if you held an ECW show, the contracts for WCW & WWF guys would go down too.  Someone who has run multiple intertwined circuits/brands would probably be more of a help on the subject though.

You can find older exports at http://www.tnm7.com/exports/

I ran a WWE fed for about a year.. divided into brands.. I put them all in one big circuit, therefore the heat ratings were the same whenever a cross-brand PPV came up.

It also caused some problems when hiring workers, as many are reluctant to join a fed with 70+ people. This also caused a lot of people to resign.. this was before the Weight class wizard though.

I would recommend creating different circuits for each of the three promotions, and using Tweak circ to adjust the heat when they're at another fed.

You should also, as mamushi said, be aware of card multiplier if you decide to run it all in one big circuit. If WCW is holding 9 shows a month, WWE 10, and ECW 4, each wrestler should have 23 set at the card multiplier. That is if you assume that 1 card = 1 month. When I simmed WWE, 1 card = 1 week, which means even more mathematical conundrums for you.

Thanks alot, guys. I think I'm gonna try it with the Weight Class Manager to see how it works.  As for the exports, I guess I have a long list to go through.
