I had a tourney going and there was a match Gangrel vs Funaki and Funaki did a move and went for a pin and then complained of a slow count then the ref called for EMTs the match was ruled a no contest and Gangrel is out 14 weeks with a brpken back it was awesome

Don't know if Gangrel feel the same way... but yeah, these things happen once in a while. I had the same happen with Victoria once.. broke her neck. I don't know how often this comes up in real life though, the closest thing I remember is Chris Candido breaking his leg at Lockdown.

It happened when Sabu broke his neck. It may have happened when Sid broke his leg, I never saw it though. I saw it happen in a death match when Kanemura caught on fire.

I'm pretty sure it happened when Droz broke his neck.

Droz didn't break his own neck.  D'Lo Brown broke Droz's neck.

okay i should have said when Droz had his neck broken... but you know what I mean  :P

It happened when Hayabusa broke his neck.

It also happened when Buff Bagwell got his neck broken by Rick Steiner. The announcers had to fill time for about 15-20 minutes while Bagwell was taken out.

You mean that WASN'T the greatest moment in the great history of our great sport on Nitro?  I thought that was one of those moments Tony was always babbling about.  ;)

It had a chance to be...but then Buff came back and wrestled again.

Didn't it happen on Thunder, anyway? :)

Yes it did, but in Schiavone-world it was Nitro.  Then again, he probably thought WCW Prime was Nitro.

And it was when Thunder was being telecast LIVE on Thursdays.  Shortly thereafter however, was when they went to taping Thunder.
