Any Origianl Ideas on Ending Fueds

blslivewirePosted on 04/12/05 at 08:27:38

Does anyone have any origianl thoughts on how to end long running fueds where both wrestlers appear to be equal.

Right now I have Goldberg & Ken Shamrock trading the World Title back & forth. Goldberg took the title from Shamrock in a Triple THreat match at WrestleMania (though he didn't beat Shamrock.) Shamrock then won the belt back at Backlash but injured his neck (which I atributed to multiple Jackhammers.)

Goldberg then won the vacant title at the amy PPV but dropped it to Shamrock in his return match at SummerSlam. Goldberg then won the rematch at Unforgiven in a No Holds Barred match.

Any thoughts on how to wrap this up?

Have Shamrock (or Goldberg if you prefer) go over in a very close match. Then have the winner congradulate the looser for being a great fighter and then have them celebrate together. There you go, you have one decisive winnner who puts over the strong looser, and both guys come out ahead in the eyes of the fans.

I think how to end it can also depend on the desired end effect you want to achieve.  It might be helpfull for some if you let us know what you want fans to get out of this feud ending.  Things like if you care about someone leaving, someone being eternally 'better' in the eyes of the fans, ect.

do what carlzilla says then face turn them both and a heel stable attack them both.

or you could add a dimension to the fued by one of the 2 attacking the other after the hand shake or after they shake have the one that was a face before become suspicious over the next couple weeks/months wondering if the heel really did change his ways and he gets paranoid to the point of attacking the other and fully turning the heel to face and the face to heel

Wrapping up a feud always depends on how you want the two wrestlers to end up. I mean, the quick answer is have one of them lose a Loser-Leaves-Town match, but is that what you want?

If you're looking to keep both in the main event, take a cue from McMahon. In paticular, Triple H & The Rock. Both of them feuded off and on for different reasons and different belts just because both of them always seemed to be at or about the same level in the fed.

In short, have Shamrock and Goldberg feud with other people for a while to elevate them, but always have that grudge that flares up whenever their paths cross again.
