I know Oliver is away, but there seems to be a good number of you who understand how this program works completely, and I just had some questions about how it works...

Do wrestler's build up heat with each other in a fued?  For example, if Wrestler A and Wrestler B have 12 matches, would Wrestler A be more likely to interfere against Wrestler B than if they had only 1 match?  If they do build up this kind of 'feud heat' does it have any effect on battle royals, or what kind of matches they have (such as, attempting to inflict punishment on each other instead of going for a quick win)?

Does a wrestler on a win streak have any momentum going that would make him tougher to beat than usual?

Are injuries more likely in hardcore style matches than in regular matches, and do injuries have any effect on the actual match, or are they just noted randomly afterwards?

By handling a wrestler correctly, could you work a jobber or lower-midcard guy into a solid main eventer?  Or will the way the crowd responds to him and his general skill always be capped by the push rating you give him?

Do the moves flow in a logical order? I remember when I had 6.2 it always bothered me and my brother that guys would lead off matches with something like a power bomb or a gorilla press, that would obviously require something to stun or position his opponent.

Are the star ratings based on match performance, heat, or a combination or both/more things?  Does the number of stars effect the competitors in anyway in future matches?

I guess that'll do for now...I know there was one more that'll come back to me.  Thanks in advance for any/all answers.

Yes

I don't know actually...I don't think so, but I'm not positive.

Again I'm not sure. I do know that winning a title makes you harder to beat, but I don't think the win streak affects the push, just the ratings.

Yes, they have an effect on the match.

If you are going to be working him up the card you should adjust his push rating anyway, plus this is a very subjective question. It depends on who is reading the circuit as to who is a credible main eventer.

No they can still lead with a powerbomb or another big move.

I'm not sure how the star ratings are calculated but if wrestlers get good ratings their heat will go up and they will be more over with the crowd, making it easier to score better match ratings in the future.

Again there are just from my experience playing TNM, only Oliver knows for sure what goes on in the program.

Whether or not a winning streak makes a wrestler harder to beat depends on how much you let a winning streak influence future matches. In Options, you can select from 0 to  5 on how great an influence streaks will have.

I think CarlZilla covered the rest of the bases, but I want to add a little else to match rating. While I'm not 100% sure how this is calculated, you can get a good match rating even without a Jericho/Benoit/any Japanese guy if the matches contain several near falls, outside interference resulting in the attacked wrestler kicking out of the pin etc.. at least in my experience. I also thought Heat would help affect the rating, as a Lance Storm vs Jazz match (bad example, can't come up with anything else right now) would (I'd guess) bring a low rating, simply because the crowd doesn't care. But then again, (and this is from a real example), a match between Hulk Hogan, Ricky Steamboat and Gene Snitsky scored a nice -***

Thanks to DCW and Americamamushi for the last example  ;D

match rating is also affected by the random crowd type that TNM deems for that card, as well past circuit history between the wrestlers involved, and face vs heel tends to bring a better chance of a ***** than same tendency vs same tendency.

As Oliver as stated elsewhere on the boards, TNM is constantly learning from how you book your circuit.  So of course, your own booking style influences match ratings as well.

I've managed to have Bam Bam Bigelow and Don Muraco take part in a ***** tag team match before without adjusting any of their stats, so wrestlers can improve based on your booking.  But remember in the same theory, they can also worsen, if you book them in poor matches continuously.

Just remember everything that happens in TNM usually has a logical reason behind in based on how TNM was programmed.  (Except for the hitting a big move without any setup for it thing)

Thank you, the three of you covered pretty much everything I wanted to know.

That part above was what I primarily wondering about, and it's good to know the program will let you do this.

I do have to add though, it's not as easy as I made it sound in that post.  It's possible, but it sure isn't simple to get it to happen when you don't tweak stats.

I'd like to add that I'm currently working on improving the flow of matches.
