Database Listing Utility

SockoPosted on 01/15/05 at 12:16:24

I was requested to make this little utility, and figured I'd see if it would interest anyone else.

The program reads TNM's master database files, and creates text exports containing ...
  • A list of all managers.
  • A list of all tag teams.
  • A list of all wrestlers, sorted in descending order of Push, and showing any managers assigned to them. Also shows Push, Charisma, Stamina and Work Rate values, as well as Weights.
  • A list of all female wrestlers.
  • A list of all Cruiserweights (220lb or under)
More *could* be added to the program, and I'd like to run the code past Oliver before making it available, but I figured I'd test the water first. :)

definetely interested... would it be possible to list all 4 stats for the wrestler?
SockoPosted on 01/15/05 at 12:35:39

It certainly would :) I'll add that in.

Update
Charisma, Stamina and Work Rate values now exported, thanks rey. :)

Update
The utility also now lists weights, generates a list of female wrestlers, and a list of Cruiserweights.

Excellent man! I'll definetely make use of this plugin! Thanx
PulsarPosted on 01/16/05 at 17:34:34

can we define the term Cruiserweight? Like 235 and under, 225 and under?
SockoPosted on 01/16/05 at 17:49:48

Yes, that won't be a problem Pulsar :)

Also, there's already a tool for most of these actions - it's called the XREFTOOL and is available from our Downloads section :)
SockoPosted on 01/16/05 at 21:05:05

Hehe, thanks Oliver .. guess that serves me right for not checking around first huh? :D

For me, the most useful part is the fact that it will give you the Push list in descending order. That's really handy. I just started using it to update a bunch of my older wrestlers, ones that have stats _not_ consistent with my current stat modelling system. I think both programs have their uses.

Nah Troy - just want you to know something is out there for your program to top :)

I really like the ideas you're incorporating and will no doubt send you a license file for it.

Could it be possible to create a .txt file of the database with the plugin? That would have been super-duper-mega useful  ;D

I agree. I haven't actually tried to start my circuit yet in TNM 7 SE (e-mail mode) but I did play this a long time ago and to know who's a cruiserweight without going into each and every wrestler would be really useful.

Oliver: Thanks for that. Once I've made any more additions that people request I shall forward the code to you for your perusal :)

Just so that you guys are aware .. the program does indeed export all of the lists to text files as opposed to showing them 'on screen'. :)

SO how's this coming? I'd love to have another look at it...!
