Did anyone ever use it?  Or export their files online?  Because I've never seen or heard of any anywhere.  Just curious.
triad4evrPosted on 10/14/04 at 05:17:25

I use it. Never seen an export for it, though. But I can send ya mine if ya want. It's nothing spectacular but it does shake things up a little.
americamamushiPosted on 10/14/04 at 06:08:58

Yeah sure, I'll take a looksee at it.

When it first came out I put a fair amount of work into it before my computer crashed and I lost it.  Haven't felt like doing it again since though. :)

E-mail address is on the side.

I always wanted to create one for Tony Schiavone.

<insert bad match calling technique jokes here>

:)

But never got around to it.  Ya know..

"full arm drag and a twist"
"flying body attack"
"Oh whattamanuever"
"sidewalk slam"
"would you stop Brain?"
"This is the greatest moment in the history of our great sport"

And I'm sure there are plenty more to add to that.

Or the Dusty Rhodes version from his days on WCWSN.

There are plenty that I should work on.
americamamushiPosted on 10/14/04 at 06:21:15

A JR/King one would be fun too...

The Rock hits him with a Rock Bottom.  WHAT A SLOBBERKNOCKER!

Or...

Batista executes a hard Spinebuster slam on Chris Benoit.  Chris Benoit has a family... and Batista doesn't care!
<obligatory puppies comment, even though there are no women at ringside... maybe he's talking about Flair... *shudders*>

:D

You know, even to this day, I can't see Dusty Rhodes without remembering him say: "That's some sort of flippity-floppity type maneuver!"

It's nothing special, but here's mine - I probably don't string together things as smoothly or consistently as Oliver could.....there's only 7-8 records, I took the long way around for some entries, and the commentary does tend to get redundant no matter what you enter.  It would literally take days of typing in variables to get a real "mixed-bag" of commentary.  But if anyone wants to get this one and fiddle with it, that's fine with me:

Hey, do you think you could e-mail your commentary export at triad4evr@aol.com ? Thanks. The way it is now, I can't seem to download it successfully- it opens a text screen with all the data, and when I try to cut-n-paste it to a document file, it doesn't import successfully. I like what you have there, and I would be happy to e-mail you my export, which is pretty good sized (I used a lot of those shortcuts where you could specify a bunch of different phrases and make multiple lines out of it)- it should help mix things up for ya! Anyway, thanks for sharing!

right click-save as doesn't work?
BittersweetPosted on 10/27/04 at 23:02:27

I modified the file so there was no space between New & Commentary, so you could try again.  Sometimes I know that presents a problem.  If that doesn't work, it's probably some restriction of freewebs.com that I just don't know about - I'm sitting here "saving as" all day and it saves just fine for me.....but it's different for everyone.
triad4evrPosted on 10/28/04 at 00:02:15

For some reason it won't let me right-click save that file and if I left click, it opens it in a text window. Not a big deal, though, I could get around it if I had to, but he sent me it via e-mail which is fine. But now I have a new problem- when I go to import it, the commentary editor locks up and won't finish. Any thoughts, Oliver?
triad4evrPosted on 10/28/04 at 00:58:57

Be careful- I was unable to import the commentary export file and now TNM isn't working correctly- there must be some kinda glitch...I sent Oliver a core dump about it.
