Explain these moves

rey619Posted on 10/21/04 at 14:15:22

OK, there are many moves in TNM that I don't know what is, but I can only think about to at the moment.
So, can anyone, using other, more familiar moves, or simply by just explaining, what kind of moves are Sliced Bread # 2 and Sky High? I know that the Sliced bread is Spanky's finisher, but unfortunately I have only seen Spanky being squashed by Brock Lesnar..

Sky High is a D-Lo Brown move.  It's his two handed standing choke into a jumping sitout spinebuster/powerbomb....  or is that the Lo Down?

After further review the Sky High is D'Lo's frog splash.

Sliced Bread 2 I can't help ya with.  Spanky was such a tremendous competitor on Velocity, I really couldn't tell ya what that move is.

I thought the the Sky High was a Rydeen Bomb (meaning no choke) and the Lo Down was his Frog splash.  Because I thought it always went from the Sky Hihg to the Low Down.

And the Sliced Bread #2 is a shiranui.  Think Spike's Acid Drop, but instead of jumping up, swinging around and the opponent landing on their stomach, you push off the top rope, go straight over your opponent's head and they land on their back like a layout reverse DDT

Now here's something I've been wondering.  I've been wondering about a few too.

5-2-5-5
Air Raid Crash
Air Sabu
Amaze Impact

Also, does the Angle Slam have a real name?  I hate finishers being listed in the move list.

This is just the first screen, I'll list more later.

I only know the Amaze Impact...it's a face first chokeslam.
americamamushiPosted on 10/21/04 at 20:28:51

the Air Raid Crash I think is the same as the Kryptonite Krunch.
Atom_BombPosted on 10/21/04 at 20:55:37

Air Sabu - a leg lariat into opponent standing in the corner
Snabbit888Posted on 10/21/04 at 21:30:13

Rick - the frog splash was the Lo Down; the Sky High is a sitout Rydeen bomb.

The Angle Slam is a backdrop driver, which is just a variation of the belly-to-back suplex.
Rick GarrardPosted on 10/22/04 at 15:04:35

I thought the Angle Slam was a torture rack suplex?

a belly to back is almost like a German suplex but instead of being directly behind the opponent to give it, it done in more of an atomic drop position, with is one of the two transition moves that usually lead to it.  The other being a side headlock where the belly to back is used to break the headlock.
americamamushiPosted on 10/22/04 at 16:41:16

The Angle Slam is a backdrop driver.
no it's not, not even remotely close

I thought the Angle Slam was a torture rack suplex
thats what I'd call it

The 5255 is Juventud Guerreras version of 619. I think 5255 actually is a post code in Mexico or something.

Btw, should a double 619 be called a 1238?  ;)
