Question to Oliver

meetzorakPosted on 08/29/04 at 03:31:11

i'm kinda new to this tnm and i was wondering if u can give me some background on how it was created who u are have u ever had any wrestling experience.

TNM was created as a bet with one tennis-racket-wielding former wrestling manager. I've been working in this business for the past ten years, although mostly behind the scenes and behind the microphone.

I didn't know Harvey Wippleman liked tennis.

Seriously though, does this mean you know the great James E himself?

And if you do, should I tell him you said hello if I go to the Philly ROH show he'll be appearing at in October?

Heenan did swing a pretty mean racket when he and Monsoon played that one time on All American.  It's either Heenan or Du Model Rick Martel. ;)

Nah.. it's the prince of polyester himself, James E. Cornette that is the one that suggested TNM.

Since it was all about a challenge Oliver, I'm just wondering when will you be showing up at an OVW taping and answering Cornette's challenge publically to say "see I told you so, it COULD be done".  Now THAT would be one funny angle.
Rick GarrardPosted on 09/03/04 at 22:23:21

Eric, I'd make up some sign about it...

ya know... like:

TNM 3:16...
Copp just waffled Cornette.
The crowd begins to cheer.

He'd just go "who?" ;)

Seriously, though, we got back a bit to the days when SMW was a promotion on the rise and ready to take over TV slots internationally.

I don't think it's going to happen. The people in OVW don't book things nobody cares about ;)

so what you're saying is that it's more likely to see it in TNA, than OVW/WWE.  LOL  Cause based on TNA's booking... they mostly book what no one wants to see.

Yeah, imagine Dusty Rhodes and Vince Russo arguing over which TNM Plugin is the best value.

Brings a tear to my eye :')
Rick GarrardPosted on 09/06/04 at 04:27:42

Dusty and Russo may be arguing over it, but it's Disco running the computer and he'll surely download the wrong plug-in, much to the chagrin of Dutch Mantell.

At least none of their names are Dick.  They'd have to legally change it to 'Thingy'
Rick GarrardPosted on 09/06/04 at 16:07:30

Captain Redneck Thingy Murdoch... Dirty Thingy Slater..

Those names sound more obscene than calling them "Dick".
