meetzorakPosted on 08/07/04 at 07:28:22

here are some matches i had in some of my leauges i want ur guys opinion on whats an upset match to u or just a solid when that might happen in a real wrestling circut.

1.Super Crazy defeats Jushin Liger in probaly the best best light heavywieght tile matches i've ever had in any of my circuts

2.Spike Dudley defeats Sabu to defend the world title he had at the time. even if he had the champions push we all know about i think it's an upset.

3.The F.B.I Defeating Justin Credible and Lance strom for the tag tiles.

4. Scott Putski Defeating Arn Anderson for the euro belt (anthoer great match by the way.)

5.Arn Anderson Defeating Atsushi Onita in a Barbed-Wire Lightbulbs match (Arn Anderson Should have not won a match like that against Japans answear to Terry Funk.)

6.Terry Taylor Defeating Stan Stasiak (Don't Even Ask)

7.Harley Race defeating Ivan Putski for his Euro Belt.
(Ivan Being Polish and all)

8.The Rougeah Brothers defeating Demolition, the road warriors and the wild samoans in a four way match for the tag belts.

and finally

9.Tom Prichard Beating Ric Flair in a Strecher match for the world title.

Please list your thoughts on weather there upsets or not.

Race over Ivan Putski is no upset.

If it's ECW FBI (Lil Guido, Tracey Smothers, Big Sal ect.) then beating Credible & Storm isn't an upset.  If it's WWE FBI (Nunzio, Stamboli... and... whoever else) then it is.

I don't think that the Rougoes... yes I spelled it wrong but to be fair it's 2:17am ;D winning is an upset either.

Alot of this is subjective though.  If you can push Scott Putski and make him a credible contender for Arn Anderson's euro title then it's not an upset.  Above, I was going by real world ideals and what-nots (if that makes sense).  As long as you can make the fans 'buy' that if Barry Horowitz is a legit contender for Hulk Hogan's world title then if he wins it won't be an upset.

If Spike Dudley is already your world champion, I think it's viable that he could be beating just about anyone in your circuit.

Oh, and I think it's Rougeau.

It's Ragu.  :P  Or Prego.. or Barilla...

And as for upsets...  It all depends on the context of the circuit you are running.  Most people would say that La Parka winning a World Title would be an upset, but I proved that wrong with La Parka being a 3 time BCW champion and he and Mick Foley carrying on some pretty good matches.

Heh.  That's just because La Parka is ridiculously overpowered in TNM. ;D  Still, after the initial shock wore off he seemed to be a very credible champion.  I definately enjoyed his streak, even if I was rooting for Foley.

Okay, going only by real world information:

1.Super Crazy defeats Jushin Liger in probaly the best best light heavywieght tile matches i've ever had in any of my circuts

No.

2.Spike Dudley defeats Sabu to defend the world title he had at the time. even if he had the champions push we all know about i think it's an upset.

Spike Dudley having the belt is an upset in and of itself, but I think this actually happened, although it would be considered an upset either way.

3.The F.B.I Defeating Justin Credible and Lance strom for the tag tiles.

As said above, if this is the ECW FBI, then no, but if it's the WWE FBI, then yes.

4. Scott Putski Defeating Arn Anderson for the euro belt (anthoer great match by the way.)

Scott Putski was basically a jobber, so yes.

5.Arn Anderson Defeating Atsushi Onita in a Barbed-Wire Lightbulbs match (Arn Anderson Should have not won a match like that against Japans answear to Terry Funk.)

Arn Anderson has never been hardcore, so yes.

6.Terry Taylor Defeating Stan Stasiak (Don't Even Ask)

Okay, I won't (ask, that is).

7.Harley Race defeating Ivan Putski for his Euro Belt.
(Ivan Being Polish and all)

Harley Race is a legend, so no.

8.The Rougeah Brothers defeating Demolition, the road warriors and the wild samoans in a four way match for the tag belts.

No.

and finally

9.Tom Prichard Beating Ric Flair in a Strecher match for the world title.

I'd say that's definitely an upset.
