I came up with the ideas for these moves...

Owen Hart RIPPosted on 06/28/04 at 16:06:34

I came up with the ideas for these moves and was just wondering if you think they are possible or not:

1. airplane spin into a seated powert bomb
2. airplane spin into an atomic drop bomb (not a full nelson slam like Bubba Ray does)
3. Inverted Northern Lights Suplex (non bridging of course)
3. inverted full nelson
4. inverted full nelson suplex
5. flying headbutt with the opponent still standing
6. Reverse Exploder Suplex
7. power bomb into a leglock
8. Arabian Rocker Dropper
9. Somersault Rocker Dropper
10. Top-Rope Rocker Dropper
11. Somersault Arabian Facebuster
12. delayed power bomb
13. top-rope tiger driver '91
14. top-rope tiger suplex '85

oh, and what the heck is a bareback supposed to be? I always thought bareback was a gay term?

Bareback was one of Danny Doring's moves in ECW. He used quite a few, but I think it was also the Last Dance (Disco Inferno) and The Franchiser (Shane Douglas)

1. airplane spin into a seated powert bomb
Doesn't seem possible. Airplane spin into a Michinoku Driver II would be though, that'd look powerbomb-esque. It'd basically be the Amityville Horror with an airplane spin in the begining.

2. airplane spin into an atomic drop bomb (not a full nelson slam like Bubba Ray does)
I'll assume by atomic drop bomb (and referencing it to the move Bubba does) you mean Bubba's move with a waist lock or back suplex set-up instead of the full nelson. I can't picture it happening. I don't think you'd be able to position them right for the landing.

3. Inverted Northern Lights Suplex (non bridging of course)
I could see this happening, I think it'd be quite dangerous, but not impossible to do without injury.

3. inverted full nelson
Already a move. Also known as the WAR Special because it was a common hold in Genichiro Tenryu's WAR federation. Unless you mean where they are standing face to face in which case it's a Reverse Full Nelson (also an already used move) or an Inverted Full Nelson with the two wrestlers standing face to face (Reverse Inverted Full Nelson) which is also known as the Teioh Lock.

4. inverted full nelson suplex
If you mean a WAR Special then no, if you mean a reverse fullnelson then you could, but you'd probably break their neck, if you mean the Teioh Lock then no

5. flying headbutt with the opponent still standing
Yes. It's called a tope.

6. Reverse Exploder Suplex
I'm not quite sure how you'd set it up to be a reverse exploder because you are standing at your opponent's side

7. power bomb into a leglock
If you executed a sitdown powerbomb you could apply a leglock after the landing.

8. Arabian Rocker Dropper
I assume you mean an Arabian Face Buster mixed with a rocker dropper. I'm kinda brain farting at the moment on the Arabian Facebuster (sad, I know), legdrop thingy with a chair, right?? (May the wrestling gods smite me now :)) I guess. I've seen Kanyon do like an inverted rocker dropper (though I think it was from the corner)

9. Somersault Rocker Dropper
Yes

10. Top-Rope Rocker Dropper
Yes, though I'd think the opponent would have to be standing on the second rope, unless you mean the attacker comes flying off the top and the opponent is standing on the mat, in which case obviously yes.

11. Somersault Arabian Facebuster
Yes, if I was right on the arabian facebuster before.

12. delayed power bomb
Wouldn't that just be like... holding them up in the air for a while?? Cause... that'd be easy for anyone to do, I mean if Tatsuhito Takaiwa can hit like 10 powerbombs in a row and then turn it into a bridging DVD, surely anyone that can execute a powerbomb can hold them in the air.

13. top-rope tiger driver '91
You could, might break a neck or two, but... :)

14. top-rope tiger suplex '85
Yes and it's probably been done in Japan.

And the bareback is set up like a Uranage, then you jump and drop to your butt, your opponent lands on their knees and hits their jaw on your shoulder, like a side jawbreaker.  I thought Disco's Last Dance was just a stunner ???

Yes it is just a stunner, but that was not the original Last Dance. Disco Inferno once used a standing figure-four leglock that was also called the Last Dance before he started using the Chartbuster/Stunner.

I got the idea of the airplane spin into atomic drop slam type move from a computer game called Championship Wrestling that I played as a kid. The character who used it was called Prince Vicious and he referred to it as the Vicious Circle

"top-rope rocker dropper"

....roight, leave the move making to people who know what they're doing. Taking an existing move and doing it on the top rope does not constitute "coming up" with it. And especially not moves you got from videogames..
Owen Hart RIPPosted on 06/28/04 at 23:51:41

Excuse me, but who are you to judge anyone else?
Snabbit888Posted on 06/29/04 at 02:43:01

Just a note, he hasn't done it in awhile, but Shannon Moore used to do a top-rope Rocker Dropper.
PulsarPosted on 06/29/04 at 07:11:18

Shannon Moore Called it a Halo, and the Bareback is where you face eachother, so it's not exactly a stunner
phudjiePosted on 06/29/04 at 08:10:20

.....didn't Shannon Moore call his Buff Blockbuster the Halo, I'm pretty sure that he called his Rocker Dropper (and assorted variations), the Bottom's Up.....
PulsarPosted on 06/29/04 at 15:08:48

You are correct, and I am a Owen Hart RIP. I apologize
Owen Hart RIPPosted on 06/29/04 at 16:28:48

I believe Moore now calls his version of the Buff Blockbuster , The Mooregasm I think!
xsouporheroxPosted on 06/29/04 at 18:52:03

Why are we talking about the Rocker Dropper and the Bareback at the same time? Rocker Dropper is just that leg on the neck facebuster thingie that Jannety did and Billy Gunn uses.

With a top-rope rocker dropper, if you mean for the guy taking the move to still be standing on the mat, and the guy on the offence to be on the top rope, then Billy Gunn did just that to win the King of the Ring, if memory serves me correctly.
