Your Four Horsemen Incarnation

erickeithPosted on 06/17/04 at 08:03:44

I just made a revived version of WCW with current and retired wrestlers. I just recently created a Four Horsemen storyline and it got me wondering if any of you guys have ever had the Four Horsemen in your circuit and who were the lucky four.

Mine consists of Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Shawn Michaels, and Bret Hart. I threw out any differences between Shawn and Bret. Bret is my World Champion and pulled a heel turn to join the Horsemen setting up a WarGames match between the Horsemen and Kurt Angle/Sting/William Regal/Chris Jericho. This will then lead to a fued between Angle and Hart leading up to the Main Event at Starrcade for the title, if all goes well of course.

So who have your Horsemen been?

I keep my Horsemen Flair, Anderson, Anderson, & Blanchard (w/ J.J. Dillon as the manager of course). But before, when people have quit I have decided to make a replacement. I usually use Chris Benoit, though one time Doink (Matt Borne incarnation) was briefly a Horseman because I ran an angle where he wanted in the Horsemen they finally decided that if he could beat the Minnesota Wrecking Crew (Ole & Arn) in a Handicap match they would leck him in... and he won. :o It only took a couple weeks before they turned on him

I've made a Japanese version of the Horsemen as well. I think it was Chono, Hashimoto, Muto, & Hase. They dominated over my puro circuit at the time. They held all 3 belts (one tag) so they each had a title around their waist.

I generally won't you anyone that has never been a Horseman in a Four Horsemen group. I generally only use people who were in the group, because a lot of others don't know how the Horsemen operate. I've used Tully, Arn, Ole, Ric (But I've also used Arn, Ole, Ric, and Benoit as well as other combinations) *I never did use Paul Roma or Luger-as they never deserved to be Horsemen in the first place*! I did however make Barry Horowitz a junior member one time, but his goal was to be the Horsemen's whipping boy. Basically they would set up Horsemen vs. Horseman matches where it was usually Horowitz vs. at least two members of the REAL four horsemen! I had to laugh one time, though when Barry actually pulled off the shocker of an upset (non-booked) in a handicapped match when he rolled up Flair with an inside cradle and got a big pinfall. That was funny stuff! Flair had his revenge then when he took on Horowitz in a submission match, which ended with you guessed it: the figure-four. I just used it as more of a comedy angle than anything!

My favorite version of the Horsemen would be Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, C.W. Anderson and Big Van Vader.  Vader took the "Enforcer" role of always keeping the title around Flair's waist while The Andersons actually dominated the tag ranks.

The most fun version was Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Dean Malenko and.......DISCO INFERNO/Glen Gilberti.  I did an angle where Disco wanted respect.  He was destroyed by the Horsemen.  He then went on to beat Malenko and Arn in singles matches.  Then it was Ric Flair verse Disco.  Disco managed to beat Flair.  Then Disco kind of just started hanging around with the Horsemen and was slowly allowed in.  I had some great moments with Disco and Dean.

I used the Windham version myself since I prefer Barry over Ole (and I already had him, Arn and Tully in my circuit when I decided to do a Horsemen angle). It was only for a year in any case so I never did add any wacky new members to the group (I have plenty of other fictional stables for that purpose).

I did a 4 Horsemen angle in my Raw circuit. Flair was the manager, and it had Beniot as the main single star, Rob Van Dam as the arrogant one, Batista as the Enforcer, and Fit Finlay as the anchor.

You'd be amazed how well that would work. They were against Chris Jericho, who was holding the tag titles with Beniot at time of turn, the team of Mick Foley and Randy Orton, and just about everyone else.

Then...well, maybe i'll go back to Raw.

My latest incarnation of the Horsemen saw Ric Flair and Batista come out as faces to accept the challenge of Jeff Jarrett's Army, in the form of The Hotshots (Cassidy O'Reilly and Chase Stevens) when they had an open contract. In the coming weeks they added Davey Boy Smith and Jerry Lynn. They feuded with then NWA World Champion Sean O'Haire, The Abyss, and The Rock and Roll Express. They also did battle with Jeff Jarrett and The Hotshots.
