What would be good counters for El Cristo?

Not even sure what the movie is, but what I want to know is, why are you changing your name on a daily basis? And since it's an account name, that must be an even bigger pain to change.

It's not that hard to change. Mine is changed. If you click on someone names, there is a spot that says username and that is their real name. The other name is what you see when they make a post.

Ah, so I'm a moron then. That's what I get for assuming YABB is like most every other common forum software.

But I think the question is still applicable, as the constant name changes confused the heck out of me for a couple of days.

The Cristo or El Cristo is a suspended full nelson submission where you have your opponent lifted up and his legs are tucked slightly behind your back, you can see a picture a La Arena Lucha Libre, and here it is:

armdrag

In lucha libre an armdrag should almost always be considered a counter, no matter how odd or inappropriate it may seem for the move because luchadores can hit a friggin' armdrag out of just about anywhere.

As for the rest of the wrestlnig word... ummmm... spontanious combustion?? :D

I can see a roll-up happening as soon as the arms aren't hooked any more. But not having actually seen the move done, I really don't know. Looks interesting, though.

I'd agree with the roll-up after breaking the fullnelson because they're already set-up for it.

Headbutt. Well, at least smashing the back of your head into his face, but yeah, same concept.
Owen Hart RIPPosted on 06/17/04 at 16:09:13

What about trying to move one of your legs in front of him, and heeling him in the "grapefruits"!

some other cool submission moves:

The Campana:

I can actually see someone doing a faceslam variation out of this, it would kind of look like (but not exactly) like a reverse version of the Styles Clash!

The Cangrejo:
Cangrejo - Crab, mostly a Boston Crab, but it's a generic term. A half Boston crab is known as "medio cangrejo" (half crab), and a Scorpion Deathlock is often called "Cangrejo Japonés".

The Cavernaria: you probably saw this one before, I actually have this in my TNM:

Hell, instead of telling you about all these moves, go to the following URL, it has a dictionary of lucha moves and other lucha terms, some of them have pictures, while others do not:

I like Lucha and Puro submissions because a lot of them are extremely complex, and some one even say that if they never saw them before that they were impossible. The Nudo Lagunero is one such move, check that one out. It's kind of an unusual standing figure-four variation, I also have the Nudo in my TNM!
