Tag Team Title Question...
Jimbo_from_Mempho | Posted on 04/29/04 at 16:34:14 I'll go into this question acknowledging that I can force a wrestler to stay in my fed if I want to...but let's assume that I don't want to. What if one member of my tag team champions leaves the fed? What are my options? Is there a way for the remaining member to just add a new partner and retain the belts? Or do I basically have to vacate the title? I'd like to hear what some of you guys have done, and what is possible in TNM. Thanks |
DarkAndEvilBastard | Posted on 04/29/04 at 16:54:57 If one guy bails, you can use the Hand Over function to name the remaining member and a new partner as champs. It won't show up in the title history, but you'll have new champs without vacating the belts. |
Rick Garrard | Posted on 04/30/04 at 03:06:54 or you could always use the "i" key when booking the match... to bring in the champs, even though one no longer "works" for you. |

Critic of the Dawn | Posted on 04/30/04 at 04:34:30 I believe in First Edition if you simply changed the members of a tag team while retaining the name, TNM wouldn't notice the difference in your Tag Team Champs and the new pair would carry on defending them as if nothing had changed. I don't think this is still the case, however - the code that brings about the new entrances for teams seems to mean TNM can tell different iterations of a team apart because it stores the rankings under the Team Name + (Wrestler 1 & Wrestler 2) rather than just Team Name. I could be wrong, though. Eric "Critic of the Dawn" |
