Rewind!

DarkAndEvilBastardPosted on 04/10/04 at 20:52:34

Is there any way, in TNM's current incarnation, that one could "rewind" within a match?  What I'm asking is, would it be feasible to program a "rewind" or "page back" function into the next build?  This could be incredibly useful for guys who skip to the finish, only to get the one line page showing the winners and not the actual FINISH, for instance.

Guys like me! ;D I have always hated that. If theres a way to fix it, it'll be great.

Yes, how often have I started a match with, let's say, Ken Shamrock and intended for the finish to be Shamrock winning with the ankle lock. So I skip to the finish and I clearly see Shamrocks opponent tapping out to something and Shamrock being declared the winner. Should I continue the match? Maybe restart it? Nah, I probably got what I wanted... what's that? He won with a wristlock, well whoopee. What else is that? A quarter of a star? Personally I never chance it now, but it'd save me a hell of a lot of time if there was a way around it.

I suspect there isn't, but that's another matter...

Well, you guys are going to be happy to hear the the upcoming (June 1) Build 2 of TNM 7 Second Edition will contain a feature for exactly this :)

It was a b!tch to code because I didn't want the availability of this feature cause a performance decrease (since the program always has to "remember" its previous steps) but the work was worth it.

Introducing --- TNM 7 Second Edition REWIND... coming soon to a PC near you ;)

Nah, it's overdue. A good dozen fixed bugs plus a few new features and tweaks... nothing dramatic but "attention to detail" stuff.
