A suggestion

Maybe I was the only person who got excited about this concept, but back when Oliver was in the development of TNM 7, one of the possible options was for career-ending injuries.  I like the concept of booking a circuit and having to deal with as many of the real life risks of running a circuit as possible, and someone suffering a serious enough injury where they have to retire is a definite obstacle.  How hard would this be to implement?  Obviously, since not everyone would want this, there would have to be a toggle to turn this off if wanted, but I just want to know how ahrd this would be to do and if I'm the only crazy one who wants this. :)

That could be interesting, but at the same time TNM would have to be able to determine that certain wrestlers could not be used.  Perhaps it could do this by removing them from the circuit specific wrestler database?

If this does go in, though, I'd like to see it be something that can be turned on and off.  As is, you can always work under the assumption that a wrestler quitting effective immediately is related to a serious injury problem or not as you so choose - and I believe Oliver used that explanation a few times in his old WWF circuit - Vader breaking The Undertaker's back comes to mind.

Anyway.  Long story short, I don't really know if this is necessary or practical from a programming standpoint, but I suppose it could be pretty cool if it was an option.

Yeah... I'm aware it's not exactly something that's a necessity.  One could easily write it into an angle themselves.  I just like doing my booking around what TNM gives me, so if someone gets hurt enough to have to retire, that's obviously something you have to work around.

Man, I would really love this option, cause I don't book ANYTHING. Also, maybe there could be a way to implement more specific injuries, like Broken Arm, dislocated shoulder, concussions, each with a set time of arrival back.

I'm not sure I'm following here, Pulsar :)

TNM 7 SE does give you injuries such as broken arms, dislocated shoulders etc. What exactly do you mean :)?

I'm sort of torn on career-ending injuries. Yes, they could be made an option but there'd definitely be just as many people who'd hate them as there would be people who'd like them --- i.e., option time again ;)

Oh, I completely agree.  With most options like this, it would be split.  That's why the option would have an On/Off flag, silly. :)
