From One Computer to Another?!?!

Yes, you just need to make sure you move the entire copy of TNM you used - you can't copy a circuit or anything.

If you use a CD-RW to move it (its either that or alot of ZIP files & floppies or maybe ZIPing it and emailing it), be sure when you put it on your apartment computer that none of the files are set to Read Only.

First of all - welcome :-)

Josh put it right. It's best to ZIP up the entire folder and move that to a removable media (e.g. USB stick, CD-R etc).

Then unpack it onto the new system for all access rights to be restored properly.

Dragging the folder onto a CD-R will turn all files into read-only files which'll wreak havoc on the program.

Define Havoc please.

My computer decided to go belly up, and I only had time to copy the file without zipping first.

What files must I uncheck as read only?

Thanks!

Windows XP does not set files to Read Only from CDs.

Just a note ;->

That much I didn't know :-)

Havoc: every write access to every file will fail due to the read-only bit being set, which will in turn cause TNM 7 to error out every time it tries to write something to your HD.
