Importing old school wrestlers
tafkaga | Posted on 04/19/07 at 00:39:34 I am hoping to create an NWA sim from the early 80's but couldn't help but notice on the Wrestler Files page that the only packs available are for more modern feds. The All Wrestlers pack doesn't work. Am I missing something or am I pretty much going to be stuck downloading every wrestler I want separately? I also noticed that the Import All button doesn't seem to work when I'm importing wrestlers into TNM. It would be a major time saver if it did, but I'm stuck importing one wrestler at a time. This is going to take a while. |
Unright | Posted on 04/19/07 at 02:47:54 The All Wrestler pack was removed because people had a tendency to just import everyone they could into TNM. But the database can't really handle that many wrestlers so it tended to crash. You might want to send Lazy_duck a private message as he has put together a good database of 1980s-era wrestlers. I think that his only requirement is that you not be megatron85. |
tafkaga | Posted on 04/19/07 at 02:51:25 I'm pretty sure I'm not megatron85. I've been going through one by one though and it's not as bad as I thought. Kind of fun in a way. Thanks for the tip though. |

phudjie | Posted on 04/19/07 at 22:08:19 .....wasn't Megatron85 the kid that demanded that someone elses circuit only have wrestlers from a spcific time period?..... |
Unright | Posted on 04/20/07 at 01:54:12 Damn Jake, you missed it? It was pretty funny. Snoop around his posts to get a rough idea of what happened.. |

No, Sir. Rick Garrard, I Demand That You Give Me Control Of BCW Right Now. Or I Will E-Mail Oliver And Complain. You Understand? |
Rick Garrard | Posted on 04/21/07 at 08:31:00 You can have BCW... problem is... the computer it was on suffered a power surge during a thunderstorm and rendered the remnants of BCW helpless, thusly causing the rise of the CW circuit, which added a few more cards to the Old School Rules.... then it too went away but without the glamor of electrical surges as I was off to work on the NWA Squared Circle Circuit that you now see over on the BCW board. And typing like that makes me feel as if I were watching the original EspN2: thE dEuCe. :P |
The TNM Members Champ | Posted on 04/21/07 at 23:22:33 Speaking of old school wrestlers, I remember there was some type of project Oliver was putting together to create more old school wrestlers. Whatever happened to that? |

Whatever happened to that?Never heard of such a project, but sooner or later I plan to release some exports of old Memphis guys. I've already made Memphis Vice (Lou Winston & Jerry Bryant) and if I don't drink too many more beers I should be making an Andy Kaufman export tonight. Internet access is a bit of a hassle for me these days, and webspace is non-existant. I could probably donate them to TNMUK or something though. |
The TNM Members Champ | Posted on 04/23/07 at 06:59:04 Oliver had made a Yahoo groups just for the old school wrestler project. Similar to the beta testing of TNM7SE. I'm going to assume that there was not that much interest at the time. |
Rick Garrard | Posted on 04/23/07 at 14:05:28 Oliver also once had a gardening yahoo group too. So take that for what it's worth. |
