Pet Peeve

Hey all,

Comment and question below -

I hate it when guys do a lame pinfall finisher or submission finisher (i.e. - Rick Steamboat's Flying Cross Body) on the outside, and all of a sudden the opponent's energy goes from 60% to 0%.

The worst scenario in these cases are moves like the STF and Crippler Crossface when done outside. It just looks silly.

I ended up going to the move database and unclicking the 'can do outside' box. Are they any other moves like this that frustrate you guys? Name a few and I'll change them on mine, too, to avoid the problem.

Kudos.  ;D

Do you mean like a move that doesn't matter if it's done on the outside or inside of the ring, it still would do the same damage.  (Like a dropkick for instance?) or do you mean when wrestler's do submission moves outside the ring and TNM treats it like a normal move, not a submission move.  I just had this happen to me.  Ric Flair executed the figure four outside the ring.  But TNM acted like it was some big powerslam or something dropping his opponents health lots.  Didn't make sense.

My Pet Peeve though has to be the number of times a finisher is done in a match.  I see wrestlers kicking out of the Perfect Plex, Hogan's Big Leg Drop, Stone Cold's Stunner and basically it just takes the credibility out of that wrestlers special move.

Yah, the figure-four example is a good one. But heck, even if you made a dropkick someone's finisher, and he did it outside, it would elicit a major energy drain. Is there something that you can add, Oliver, to not have this happen any longer? I mean, a Stunner is the same thing inside and outside - if anything, it would hurt Austin more to do it on concrete.

Re: the multi-finisher comment, I actually like that. If wrestlers just died every time a finisher was done, what fun would that be? I actually marked out yesterday when Muta kicked out of the F-5, sprayed Lesnar in the eyes, and took the win.

Normally you wont see somebody kicking out of many finishers unless you booked a match for say 25 minutes and both guys are gassed at 10 minutes and they spend 15 minutes hitting finishers on each other but never getting the pin cause its not time yet.   Which you can now avoid because you can book a finish without a time :)
