Is there a way to edit the ratings

Has there been an editor made by anyone yet. That would let you edit the ratings.

I have the editor called ratings editor but it seems to only let you delete wrestlers.

I also tried exported the ratings to file and chaged them
there. But i don't know how to import them back after editing or if you can do this.

I also don't know the file name that the rating are kept in before editing.Does anybody know the name of the file?Maybe we can edit that.

Any help would be great.

Thanks in advance

I do believe that in TNM7SE the ratings are calculated on the fly, I think it was this way for the other versions as well, but I am not sure. If this is true (ratings calculated on the fly) there isn't a file that stores that information, so there isn't a file we can edit to change them.

Just out of curiosity why would you need to change your ratings anyway?

I quess what i want to do is edit the win-loss-draw records.  I've been using this circiut for a long time and some wrestlers have over 700 wins.

I quess i said it wrong, i don't want to change the ratings i want to change their records.

Thanks

The thing is, like Carl said, that ratings are generated on-the-fly from things such as the wrestlers' win-loss-records but also their performances in their matches.

For instance, if you take Booker T, if he beats Lance Storm by countout, the win will carry less prestige than if he pins Triple H for the title with his finisher in the middle of the ring.

Things like that also go into the equation.

That said, even if you edited the ratings files to change the win-loss-records your wrestlers amassed, that would only serve to screw up things.

Why?

Easy: for every match, wrestlers are given points depending on how they fared and who their opponent was. This is stored as a sum meaning that TNM after the fact can't differentiate and determine how many points came from what match.

Example: Booker T has 150 points with 5 wins, 3 losses and 1 draw.

Per match, Booker scored 16 points and that (with some bonuses added here and there) is the number that will have to be compared with other wrestlers' values.

Say RVD has 17 and Kane has 18 points per match.

If you change Booker's record to 3 wins, 1 loss and 1 draw, he'll all of a sudden jump the queue and will be placed in front of RVD and Kane because 30 (150 / 5) is more than 18 and it is more than 17.

Ratings are a carefully-balanced system... editing would disturb the system and lead to undesirable results. Essentially, the ratings would become useless.

After being explained, i understand now..It's not like a baseball or footbal game where you change ratings to make them perform better..

Thank You for help
