Oliver CoppPosted on 06/22/03 at 17:33:10

Good news - thanks to everything concerning the ordering process being finished more quickly than anticipated, we're going to be taking the first orders effective immediately.

The ordering process itself has been tested already but it won't be advertised on the main page until midnight tonight.

You can order here:

Thank you in advance for your business !

Any question ? Feel free to use this topic.

Awesome news Oliver! I just ordered the Second Edition upgrade registration as well as the TweakCirc Second Edition full registration.

One question though. Now that I've ordered, where do I get the programs? I thought maybe they and/or the registration codes would be sent in an e-mail, but so far I haven't received anything.

If it takes a little while to send then that's cool. In case there is a problem though, then I just wanted to make you aware that I didn't get anything yet. Thanks Oliver.
Oliver CoppPosted on 06/22/03 at 21:36:23

Thanks a lot, Tom.

This is a growing experience because I wanted to get it out to you guys ASAP so not everything was set up when I posted the message here.

This is what happens:

1) You order (which you did - thanks a lot !).
2) I'm informed of your purchase via e-mail.
3) I generate your codes and send them out manually; this is necessary at the moment because I want to make sure the new code generator works perfectly.
4) When your codes are sent out, you are added to a special group on Yahoo Groups. This group is exclusive to the people having ordered TNM 7 Second Edition during beta. There you'll find all the necessary files, instructions and a means of communicating both with myself and with other users.

As of right now, I posted the following files there:

a) TNM 7 SE Beta 7 - this hasn't even gone out to the beta testers yet (although it will in five minutes *g*),
b) TNM TweakCirc SE Beta 3
c) a special license file you need to run TNM 7 SE Beta

So, everything's set up already and I'll activate the link on the main page soon.
Tom_ImpPosted on 06/22/03 at 21:36:30

Nevermind, I just got the e-mails.   ;D
Thanks Oliver.
JBurnaBTNHPosted on 06/23/03 at 00:35:35

For some reason, its not letting me order. I have a valid credit card, so I'm not sure why its not letting me process my order.
Oliver CoppPosted on 06/23/03 at 00:45:48

I'm sorry but that part is pretty much out of my hands. If iBill isn't accepting your credit card, PayPal likely will... and vice versa.

You might want to contact customer care at iBill and inquire as to why. Their address is support@ibill.com.
TheSkearnelPosted on 06/23/03 at 01:38:27

Well, I too got my transaction declined by IBill. I had a PayPal account, but cancelled it, so now I can't use my Credit card on Paypal, so that's out.

Kinda sucks, cuz I've been playing since 6.2 PLUS, and I definitely am interested in TNM 7 SE

iBill didn't work for me either.  Sucks for them because I was able to pay through PayPal instead and save myself a few dollars.  (By the way, I didn't even need to create an account for it.  It just asked for an email and a password and that was all).
Oliver CoppPosted on 06/23/03 at 02:58:11

There's always the possibility of using the 900 number or even mail order if all else fails :-)
Oliver CoppPosted on 06/23/03 at 02:59:32

That's really odd regarding everybody having such problems with iBill... six years of good and uninterrupted service. Good thing there's PayPal to fall back on.
SnDvls316Posted on 06/23/03 at 03:15:20

I'm not thinking it will NOT be a problem, but Oliver you will have to let me know. My PayPal account e-mail is different from my TNM7 user e-mail (to sort the junk from the real stuff) Will that cause a problem?
Oliver CoppPosted on 06/23/03 at 15:53:55

No, there won't be a problem either way.

I check all orders manually. If I can't find that person in the registered user database, I will send an e-mail asking whom their current TNM 7 is registered to.

The only time where I might have to ask if I don't know the e-mail address is if your name is one such as Jim Miller of which there are dozens in the database.

So, please don't worry - your orders won't be lost and as long as humans process them, you can expect intelligent order-to-database matching :-)
WCWFPosted on 06/23/03 at 17:08:20

Oliver i have been intrested in getting TNM for awhile now. I was wondering if you needed TNM7 in order to get the Second edition or can you just get that sepratly.

It would be great if i could just start off fresh with TNM 2nd Edition
mikeyPosted on 06/23/03 at 17:43:18

Yes you can do that.  It's 29.95 I believe.  check the ordering page for more information.
Freakzilla03Posted on 06/23/03 at 21:29:41

Oliver,

I just received my beta stuff, and I was wondering, when the four weeks run out, TNM 7 SE should be finished and released, correct? And then, if so, are we getting new codes for the finished product, since the ones we have will expire? Just wondering! Thanx!

-Tom

Freakzilla03Posted on 06/23/03 at 21:31:05

SeanyBoy~

Yes I have already. I ordered mine late last night and had mine by the morning, so just sit tight! They'll come!

You do not need TNM 7 First Edition per se. If you purchase TNM 7 Second Edition, that is the only thing you need to purchase as far as TNM 7 goes.

If you order TNM 7 Second Edition now (in beta testing), you will need to install the trial version of TNM 7 First Edition first and patch it with the Second Edition beta files, though.

In a nutshell: TNM 7 Second Edition is enough ;-)

On 06/23/03 at 20:33:12, BALIK wrote:Hello Oliver,

first I want to say - awesome work on TNM over the years !!!

But I also have this iBill problem. My card is valid (well - it was at least a few month ago, when I ordered the Interview plug-in).

Unfortunately I deleted my PayPal account a few weeks back and it won't accept my AMEX (does not accept the address). So this is not possible.

Even more unfortunately I do not have the chance to order via 900 number oder mail order - I'm from Germany.

So - after all this whining and crying - finally my question: would it be in any way possible to you - and convenient of course - for me to pay via direct bank transfer from my to your account?
Thanks for the kind words.

Given that you're in Germany and I'm in Germany, mail order or direct bank transfer wouldn't be a problem at all. In fact, direct bank transfer should be a breeze, shouldn't it ;-) ?

You should have looong gotten your registration codes. If you give me your e-mail address, I'll send them out again.

Actually, with the TNM 7 Second Edition codes you *should* have already gotten (you have, haven't you ?), you can register the beta meaning that it'll work for you ad infinitum if you so choose.

I'll release the full version as soon as it is stable enough (indications are that the major bugs have already been eliminated) to warrant not issuing a new version every few days.

I'd estimate that there are still a dozen or maybe two small bugs in there that were introduced as side-effects of the new features but I'm confident with the quality of work everybody is doing that they'll be identified and fixed within the next four weeks.

August 1 still is the date I have in mind for the actual release but everybody who orders before that will be able to use a registered beta version from this point forward.

I posted this in the help sction but didn't knwo which would be checked most often.

I order my TNM7 SE upgrade, and received my registration codes, but can't for the life of me figure out where to get the beta programs.  Am I just blind, or am I missing something.  Anyone??  Oliver???  Is there a link, or an e-mail I haven't received?? I ordered last night, and got my codes nearly right after, (2 e-mails the SE and the SE tweak) is there a 3rd I didn't get??  Just wondering.  Thanks in advance!

Oliver CoppPosted on 06/24/03 at 12:53:13

The information on how to access the files was in your registration e-mail. If you didn't get this information, please e-mail me and I'll resend it your way.

Thanks !
teddy1221Posted on 06/24/03 at 23:13:15

thought i would check on things.  i ordered the second edition/tweak circuit bundle yesterday morning, and havent received anything yet. I know you are busy, but i thought i would check, just to make sure there wasnt a problem.  My email address is teddy1221@aol.com
I think i registered 1 or 2 plugins with that address, but registered my tnm wtih my old address which was ted2443@aol.com.  i paid through paypal, and i know sometimes the payment takes a week to clear, although the payment has been taken out of my account.  That is the one bad thing with paypal, the money is taking out right away, but it never clears uil a week later.  Anyways, any help is appreciated.  thanks
Oliver CoppPosted on 06/24/03 at 23:20:08

Hi Lance,

PayPal sent me a message to please await their confirmation before sending out the merchandise since you paid via an eCheck.

Seems to be procedure in such a case...

Thanks,

Oliver
Dragon_XPosted on 06/24/03 at 23:25:44

I was wondering how long it should take to get the information after you order. I placed my order last night, and have not received any e-mails.
Oliver CoppPosted on 06/25/03 at 00:16:09

I try to send out new codes within one hour. If you didn't get yours, please get in touch with me ASAP.

The only time I can't keep the one-hour goal is when I'm sleeping which due to the time zone difference is from about 8pm to 3am EST.

Thanks,

Oliver
teddy1221Posted on 06/25/03 at 01:03:12

Oliver,

thanks for the reply.  I understand.  I hate that about paypal.  It comes out of my account that same day, but i doesnt clear for a week.  Its frustrating, but not your fault.  Thanks, I cant wait to get the codes. Should help make my feds interesting, and I might just post some results on the forum.  Thanks again.
kicPosted on 06/26/03 at 21:46:30

Sigh. iBill just rejected my payment as well, yet it worked a couple of months ago when I ordered TNM7. So I used paypal, but I hope since I'm signed up under a different email address there that it doesn't confuse matters too much. :)

Off to work now!
Oliver CoppPosted on 06/26/03 at 22:46:55

No confusion, not to worry :-)

Hey, if iBill doesn't want you as a customer, that's their problem ;-)
kicPosted on 06/27/03 at 05:55:55

Yeah, the heck with them. Their loss. :)

I'll be eagerly awaiting the email with the pertinent info. Looking forward to testing some of these new things...already have ideas for some of them. :)

Don't worry I had the same issue with iBill (being declined when I've never eeeeever been declined) with three different cards while trying to order. So I too went the paypal route. The iBill Customer Service Rep was less than helpful basically saying "too bad."  Worked out better with PayPal anyway  ;)
Oliver CoppPosted on 07/18/03 at 09:38:33

I apologize for the service rep's behaviour. From the looks of things, almost all customers prefer PayPal anyway.

The only reason why I'm keeping iBill is because of 900 number processing and because their system allows for immediate generation of registration codes.
