Copp the Commissioner?!

King_Of_Old_SchoolPosted on 07/05/03 at 19:45:04

From last month's Total Wrestling magazine:

...Ulf Herman did not like Wildcat's statements and attacked the new European Champion. PWA's commissioner Oliver Copp told the crowd that Brookside would have to defend his title - right there and then! Only a few minutes after capturing the title, Brookside lost the gold after being rolled up by Herman.

Well, I've been moonlighting so to speak ;-)

Can't believe you screwed Brookside over...

It makes me wonder, maybe there's an angle for Oliver in my circuit somewhere. Maybe there's an angle for Oliver in all of our circuits. I think I'll give him Scott Steiners music and have him join Triple Threat.

Don't worry... he's getting it back eventually. He's getting such strong reactions that we want him as a face, and the face chasing the title is always better for business.

And besides, it was Brooks' idea for me to run after him backstage and drag him back into the ring after he ran away with the title ;-)

By the way, is this for real or some coincidental namesake thing?

It's for real.

Not to get off subject, but I'm curious about something Oliver.
Since you are technically in the wrestling business and most likely know a bunch of the wrestlers, are there any that have said to you they are into TNM and use it a lot?

Hang on, you said you want Brookside as a face - does that mean he's a face or that he's going to be turned? If it's the latter, then I get it and all. If it's the former, does that make you a heel?

By the way, I dare you to have Brookside paired up with guys you've named Emmerdale, Hollyoaks, Twin Peaks and Neighbours along with Diamond DALLAS Page.

Please excuse me for not going into detail more but that would be unprofessional.

There are currently 133 licenses out there for pro wrestlers, most of whom are from the US, Canada and England. I don't know what the percentages of heavy users are but what I do know is several of the former ECW guys are heavy users as are a few of the younger WWE guys.

What I do know for sure is that six current WWE stars have it on the road with them at all times.

Brookside technically is a heel (one of the best in the business IMO) but he's very, very popular.

Actually, I'd rather team him with Villano #24 or Buffy LaMotte, maybe even with "Oz" *g*

That's nuts.  I take it these names are confidential?

All customer information is confidential. I imagine they'd be highly unhappy... I know I would be if I purchased something somewhere and the company would publicize my purchase.

How about ERic Bischoff?
Oliver CoppPosted on 07/08/03 at 01:21:18

That was a good one ;-)

Or maybe he'll be teamed with the Red Rooster's cousin, The West Wing.

That was just BAD. :) I might have to set my protege, the Six Foot Undertaker on you. And don't forget - Everybody Loves Raymond Rougeau. Ooh, and The Guardian... Angel. :P
