Feuds in TNM

SockoPosted on 06/25/03 at 23:58:39

Just wondering whether this might a possible future addition to TNM as I was planning on adding it to a TNM add-on program of mine ...

In TNM, would it be possible/feasable to add a feuds section where you can define the feuds that are currently active in your federation? This could be used in conjuction with wrestler queues imo ... here's an example ...

You define in your circuit that HHH is feuding with Nash ... HHH's queue is then automatically filled with Nash, and vice versa ... you hold a match between HHH and RVD ... TNM decides that there'll be random interference in this match against HHH, and will therefore automatically pick Nash as the assailant.

I appreciate that it's not an essential feature, but I for one would find this a neat addition. :)

I definitely like the idea :-)

Sounds like a great idea to me, too.

I like the idea too, but what's wrong with just going into the wrestler's queues using TweakCirc and filling all 4 spots with the feuding wrestler's name?

Obviously your way Socko would be less time consuming, but it can be done now unless of course I'm not getting the full jist of your idea.

Actually, using the queue is the better technique IMO because the queue unlike having x defined feuds in your circuit will allow for more variety and sometimes for unexpected things that will give your fed a shot-in-the-arm feud-wise.

What I do like about the feud list idea is that it'd help keep track of who is currently being used how for the people (like me) who don't run cards in their circuit every day. When I go back to the WWF circuit of mine, I most of time need to reacquaint myself with the storylines and feuds first.

This is good plugin material.

Well, you both have valid points there ...

Tom - It's just something I see as 'hassle reducing' really. It most certainly can be done by manually changing the queues, but then the queues would need updating after each match that one of the 'feuders' participated in.

Oliver - I'll look into creating this one then as it shouldn't be too difficult to put together. Also, to still allow variety, I shall make it user-definable so that you can set how many of the 'queue slots' are used for the feud. For example, you could set it so that only 2 of the wrestlers queue slots are updated for the feud.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I totally agree on the "hassle reducing" part and think your idea is a great one. Anything that makes it easier for us, I'm all for.   :)

Totally understand what you mean Tom, serves me right for forgetting to add a smiley to my reply  :)
