Anyone else experience lag in TNM7SE (build 4 & 5)?

In my experience, TNM starts off fine. No problem whatsoever from the command prompt to TNM7. No problem from double-clicking TNM.bat.

It only starts after TNM7 has booted up. It can take anywhere from 5-10 seconds from me pushing a button to something actually happening (like scrolling through a menu/database). Setting up just one card can be pure hell.

I've got the Autoexec.nt fix. I've tried the Config.nt fix, but not noticed anything.

I've turned off any unneccessary programs (including system tray programs), and it still lags.

Changing cmd.exe and ntdvm.exe to "High" priority (via Task Manager) only provides a temporary fix.

I've messed around with the compatibility options on TNM.bat to no avail.

Would turning off (Graphic) Hardware Acceleration work? I think Oliver hinted at that in the "Tip for Windows 2000 / Windows XP users" thread.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can't say I'm having that problem but see what this gets you.

How much memory does task manager say TNMGS.EXE and ntvdm.exe are using?  Mine are around 5,124 and 3,072.

Is anything using up the rest of the processor that shouldn't be?

Turning off the Hardware Acceleration seems to have fixed my problem.

Both NTVDM.exe and CMD.exe were barely using 2,000K in memory usage. And I had everything that wasn't necessary shut off.
