TNM crashing when I try to run a card...
Justin W | Posted on 02/09/07 at 00:13:40 Yes, I have run the diagnostics program. And no, I cannot figure out the error code because TNM crashes too quickly. My wrestler and move count is just fine. I'm having two problems: 1) After saving a card, and then trying to run it, the game crashes 2) I cannot use the tag team button when setting up a match without the game crashing They both started happening at the same time, a few days ago. I'm supposing I'm gonna have to delete this version and download it again. I have the latest version. But is there a way I can save all my files and upload them (cards, ratings, promotions, etc.) intact? Thanks. |
Justin W | Posted on 02/09/07 at 00:42:00 I also forgot to mention, that I have 5 promotions running. 4 of which are affected by this, the 5th (which I created the day after the crashes started) does not have this problem. |
The Phantom | Posted on 02/09/07 at 01:24:25 If you want to know the error code, open up a command prompt and navigate to the folder and then run TNM and it should show you the code. |
Unright | Posted on 02/09/07 at 18:14:06 Yeah, the actual error code can be a good clue as to what the problem may be. Did you install/change anything on your computer just before it started crashing? After the crash, do you cancel the crashed card, or try to continue it? Also, keep in mind that Oliver is really the only one that knows the inner workings of TNM, and he only reads the boards infrequently. Have you tried e-mailing Oliver directly? |
Metal Misfit | Posted on 02/09/07 at 19:41:28 I don't know how to work the command prompt. I just know how to get on the internet. ;) On 02/09/07 at 18:14:06, Unright wrote:Yeah, the actual error code can be a good clue as to what the problem may be.I haven't changed anything, and after the card crashed, it had the cancel card/cancel match option and I cancelled the card. I originally tried continuing it but it crashed again. Yes, I have emailed Oliver. He has not replied. Thanks anyway! |
The Phantom | Posted on 02/10/07 at 00:06:11 How to work the command prompt: (WinXp) Click on start, then run. Type in cmd and hit enter. Navigate to your TNM folder, see example below. Type in tnm and tnm will open and then do what you do that crashes it and post that error here or look for it in the help section. [pre]Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600] (C) Copyright 1985-2001 Microsoft Corp. C:\Documents and Settings\eq817>cd\ C:\>cd program files C:\Program Files>cd tnm C:\Program Files\TNM>cd TNM7SE C:\Program Files\TNM\TNM7SE>tnm[/pre] |
Unright | Posted on 02/10/07 at 02:37:26 The folder that you installed TNM7SE to is important when using the command prompt. If you just installed it to just the C: folder, then that's the folder to go to. The 'cd' command that Phantom demonstrated is basically a old DOS command that means "go to this folder". Give it a shot and let us know. |
